Mk 4 Octavia 1.5 SEL. ACT.

Featured Replies

I have a 2020 all new 1st.edition Octavia 1.5 SEL. Before that I had a 2019 Facelift version with the same engine. The 2019 car had ACT. My new car appears to be missing this function. How can I confirm if it does or doesn't  have ACT. Thanks.

Does it have Economy driving mode? If so, ACT is indicated by an icon in the speedo screen when the engine is not under load.

If Skoda still haven't fitted a plastic engine cover (cost saving measure compared to VW & Audi) then if on the top of the engine there are 4 large blue(?) solenoids then the engine has ACT.

Which you can hide with an engine cover, available on a popular online supplier starting with E (genuine Chinese-source OEM)

Go to the owner manual (page 126, but there are three manual versions depending on the production period), title "Economical Driving Style".

Read about "Consumption-friendly driving" and check if applies to your model.
