Where to find body parts?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Unfortunately, last Saturday I had the misfortune of crashing my stunning Kamiq. It has suffered various bits of damage, most notably the back door, Drivers O/S wing and front bumper, which all need replacing as they are unable to be fixed.

I have searched high and low all over the internet to try and find these parts, but it looks almost like nobody else in the UK has actually crashed a Kamiq. So I am just wondering if you lot have any idea where I may need to look or if you could direct me to these parts?

If you help me I will be forever grateful,

Many thanks

Unfortunately I do not know where to find second hand Kamiq parts but before you start spending any money are you sure that the damage is purely cosmetic and that there is no structural damage? If you have to buy new parts, or there is structural damage, unless you are able to do the job yourself or very cheaply you may find it cheaper in the long run to use your insurance company. Also as your car is only a year old you may find that the bodywork corrosion guarantee is invalidated if a non Skoda approved body shop, or yourself, does the work.

Hi Liger,

There is definitely some structural damage on the suspension, I will be able to take the vehicle to a body shop to get this repaired. It would be a lot cheaper to fix the car up with parts than go through insurance so it only makes sense to do it this way, I'd just prefer not to spend £900 on a back door if I don't have to lol

Thank you

Unfortunately I was 12 months ahead of you in crashing mine, the repairer took months to get the parts (new front wing and new front door) and that had to come from the factory as the model was so new. Hopefully the parts situation has improved but be prepared to have to go to Skoda UK.

It's a terrible feeling! Especially when it has so much life left in it. It doesn't look like there is much knocking about.

When you fit your bumper you will have to have the Radar calabrated around £300/400. Why not go through  insurance. Don't forget to tell your insurance that you have  had a bump even though you are not claiming
