Hi everyone, I have a VRs estate 4x4 diesel on order has anyone requested the rear not to have any badges applied?  I know they are easy to remove with floss/hair dryer etc, but just was curious.  Thanks.

Good choices. I’ve ordered the same car but just the Canton as an option. 
When are you expecting your car? I only ask as I’ve started a thread on the Mk4 Canton system asking for any reviews / feedback, but haven’t had any joy. Mustn’t be many speccing it.

I've not had a time suggested yet other than 3 months.

 

Canton was a non-negotiable as I'm a massive music fan!   Hope it is worth the extra.

Me too. I’ll keep scouring the inter web to see if anyone reviews it. 
 

I only ordered mine last Friday so pretty much same timelines as you if I’m lucky. 🤞🏼

Although I really can't compare it to anything else, I expected it having a little bit more bass.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but could you confirm where the subwoofer is? Is it in the spare wheel ?

Yes, it is in the spare wheel.

I’ve removed the octavia and vrs from my hatch bit considering also removing the Skoda lettering. 

I had a Clio 200 Raider a few years ago, matt paint......Removed the 'CLIO' and left a shadow so had to have a respray on the boot, don't want a repeat on the VRS!  Although normal paint should be more straightforward

Conversely, I’m a little disappointed that there’ll be no 4x4 badge on the boot of the Mk4. I liked that little point of difference on the Mk3, but it was subtle.

Agree mate , compared to my prev Superb sportline , seems a bit cheaper. Also my daughter commented on the doors being really light compared to the Superb. As with any new car choice , you compromise and never get all the spec you want for the price your prepared to pay. Have noticed the system is a bit slow to start and always starts with fake engine noise. I have to wait till booted to turn that off. The sound does my nut in , ok for showing off but not popping to the local shops.

Just had an update on the rear badges, once the car is at the dealer they can be instructed to do it.  At least if they **** it up they will be sorting it!!!!

Interesting. Do the cars come with the badges already applied or are some applied at the dealership as part of the prep? 

No idea, have to look for the next car transporter with a load of Octavias on!!!

No but I'm happy with the options and anything has to better than standard stereo.

Hello all,

I ordered mine last week, Quartz grey, with some options, including Canton, there was no chance to test Canton at dealer since they did not had octavia with that sound system, since then I have been trying to find decent review online, I have not succeeded yet, I guess I will have to wait and see.

I am located in Riga, Latvia, dealer told me 3-6months I will have to wait.
