Delivery times?

Featured Replies

As I say a holistic view of our common problem would be most welcome from my perspective. We know there are many waiting and some have been waiting a long time. I also see delivery estimates moving right. So understanding where all stand collectively would help manage expectations. Reporting delivery of new vehicles would also help as I hear many say they are waiting but next to none say “my car has arrived”.

if anyone thinks a collective view is a bad idea then please have your say this is a community of interest and different interests will exist

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

I was actually tempting to do it, but not sure whether people would find it useful. - feel free to add reactions to this message, if anyone would find the spreadsheet useful

Unfortunately I will be away for a couple of days, so I could make a separate post on Wednesday where it could be handled.

sounds like a very good idea.

My Style Combi (with e.g. Matrix, Canton) was ordered 07/21 in Finland, built 02/22 and currently waiting for door panels (according to the dealer).  Door panels should be available during June, so hopefully the car will delivered during the summer.

My starter for ten!

vRS Octavia Tsi Estate manual with Panoramic roof, Tow bar prep, Spare wheel and Net partition. Ordered on 30/March 2022 and estimated delivery date 31/March 2023.

I get an update from the sales executive every 2 weeks. No build date yet, nor do I expect one 'till at least October/November..

I've ordered a VRS TSI in Jan 22. No news on dates. Dealer said "Aug 22 maybe?". I countered with Jan 23 and he didn't say anything to say I was wrong.

So it seems that there was a positive reception to do a spreadsheet, so I've made one here:

I know we have different trims, countries and configurations, I've done the best to accommodate for that. If someone wants to do some prettification please feel free :)

have a problem when asked how many weeks delayed,i put wrong number of weeks in.it will not allow me to amend it.

It should calculate week automatically as a difference between promised delivery and NOW or between promised delivery and actual delivery if the actual delivery date is filled in.

Added my info - thanks for making the spreadsheet :)

Same from here

I noticed the majority of cars we are waiting for are DSG automatic. And cheers for the spreadsheet, having all in one place surely helps 👍

At a glance the common thing is those having e-DSG's because of being Mild & Plug in Hybrids.

The most common thing there is battery shortages more than any probable shortage of DSG's which Skoda are producing for Skoda, SEAT, VW & Audi's.

Could be, a quick glance revealed mainly DSG while I didn’t check other things 😊

Well I'm still waiting. My car has a VIN number however it's been sitting waiting for just one part for months!

My last delivery date was given as the month of May. Obviously that's not going to happen and when I asked for an update 2 weeks ago. I asked for an honest view of what chance I had for an August delivery before my annual road trip and the reply was "we're actually planning to lend you a roof box for your wife's Scala"! You can't get more honest than that!

I've now stopped asking my dealer for an update! In two weeks time, I've been waiting for 12 months, so expecting to have a 72 plate car, when I finally get it!

Looks like we've got a pretty good overview of the cars already :) DGSs are a common topic, but not exclusive - some manuals there as well. Quite a lot of electronics and good trim levels - mostly Style. But so far nothing definitive.

Interesting that there are hardly any 1,0 TSI engines. I noticed they seem to be much more available here in the market - either almost new or second hand.

Plenty of those 1.0 engines available in new Fabias in stock here in Slovenia, almost no Octys (there was a Sportline a while ago, not sure if still available).

e-DSG?

Sorry, DQ200-E & DQ400-E actually, The DSG's used with electrified TSI's.

Still just DSG's so not short in supply, just the rest of the parts for the cars they are going in.

Interesting. I did know about DQ400e, but i didnt know there was a DQ200e. DQ400e has three clutches. Not sure what does the DQ200e have different to DQ250. MHEV's should not require third clutch, but perhaps they have more robust clutch?

A DQ200-e / DQ200 is a Twin Dry clutch DSG.

So there is the biggest difference from a DQ250 or any wet clutch DSG's.

is it possible to place the table somewhere where you don't have to constantly search through all the comments?

Just tried adding my VIN (that i got cca 2 months ago) to Škoda connect app and it found my car. The last time i tried it was yesterday, but it didn't let me in... Hope that means i will get my car soon. The dealer thinks the same, that the car is finished and waiting transport

DQ250 is dry clutch DSG7.

No.  But you are not the only one making that mistake.  You best go do a bit of research.   It is 6 speed wet that requires oil changes.

1 oil type in it.

A dry clutch DSG had 2 oils in it. In the box and in the MCU and requires no oil changes / servicing.

Note the DQ381 is @80,000 miles.
