I was told by my dealer that only for orders placed in april 2022 and newer the price wasn't fixed. So far noone here complained about a price increase upon delivery, except a couple of guys from Turkey if I remember correctly

My car is an Octavia VRS Estate TSI DSG and no word of price increase. The only extra that I'm anticipating is interest in the loan contract!

Maybe a sign of things improving for people who want to buy cancelled orders from stock for higher prices (also no DSGs). Definitely an improvement for dealers.

I doubt it. They are all 1.0TSI or diesel basic spec. One Style and no VRS.

 

I'd think dealers orders for basic "Paddy spec" that'll sell.

So I was on with my Dealer today talking about getting my deposit back as i've now got 6 weeks to get another car before I go away on holiday in it to France. I ordered it in July 21 so 1 year wait. I asked him to check the status again and to his surprise and mine its changed to status 30 in transit from and now has a VIN and says its complete stage 8. Ive tried putting the VIN in the Skoda app but it doesn't seem to be picking it up yet. Dealer said it will change to status 38 when it's at Port of Emden then 40 when its at Grimsby. So fingers crossed it might just make it in time for my trip. Hope all of you that have been waiting for so long also get some better news soon.

Not trying to jinx your holiday and I am happy for you finally getting your new car, but hopefully, it won't give you any issues when it's overseas.

it looks like mine may be on the same ship has your.told on monday it was on it way and should get it some time in july.i hope you get your before your trip fingers crossed

Still won’t be happy until I know it’s here and registered. Then it’s going to get a good run down to the Dordogne. Should be more reliable than my 156000 mile golf I hope

i thought for north of england the delivery port was north shields on the river tyne?in any case what ports do skoda deliver to in the uk?

Now my order says 7/2022 for manufacturing. 2022W25 / 2022W28 / N

Think theres 3.  Port of Tyne , Sheerness & Grimsby.

 

I live in Co Durham but ordered car from dealer near Birmingham so hopefully mine could be on the Emden to Grimsby ship ?

i ordered 21/05/2021 so just about same date as you.octavia vrs 4x4 dsg tdi estate.it has been that long since i ordered it,i am having to look through to se what has on it.

Just had my bi weekly update this morning. Delivery date pushed back another 6months with no sign of build slot

 

Ordered 25/10/2021

Original delivery date 14/03/2022

 

New delivery date 15/12/2022

Original order for an Octavia iV SE Tech was 7/10/2021, current date 30/09/2022 but not holding out much hope.

Mine was uk but via Novuna (used to be hitachi) 

 

I'm waiting for the IV SE L. Your current date sooner than mine

So your vehicle might be one of those unfinished that are promised to be handled and delivered by the end of September.

The Finance offers are Quarterly. 
The current one is at 6.9% APR, and car has to be delivered by 31st March 2023.   (which is 9 months, but only 6 months if order in September).

However there is a deposit contribution of £1000 in UK

 

So even if you have an agreed price, it is possible the finance offer will lapse, and have to be redone at whatever finance is available at time of delivery.

no but I was speaking to them earlier in the week and they told me they are having the same issues getting cars and not only from Skoda

I think we already established Skoda is not the only one with issues, but still Skoda is one of the worst in this situation (if not the worst). Just wanted to put this out, cause "not only Skoda" sounds like an old excuse.
