Delivery times?

Featured Replies

Nope. Just gotta be patient.

No point in losing your rag at a salesperson at the dealership, they're not responsible for car production delays.

They can however advise you of what the waiting time is likely to be and whether you proceed with the order is entirely at your discretion.

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Things have finally started to move, cheers to those with good news 😊

Still a lot of cases where there is no build date yet, although the car was ordered last year - I wonder what will happen with those…

Most cars from the spreadsheet are from 2021Q3. Mine as well.

Hard to say how accurate it is. There is only approx. 100 rows. And if the people update their lines with new data or not.

I ordered in the UK in Nov 21 and am still without a build date (Hatchback SE, minimal options)

Is this standard for anyone else?
The most info I’ve had is “pencilled for Nov”- communication has been pathetic and impersonal (pre-recorded video) and my updates have been every 2 months.

It will arrive one day, I’m sure.

i get updates every friday,in the last week i have had 3 updates telling me the car wa on its way and last one was delivery at dealers no later than 22 july.so they have updated me every week for just about 14 months.it is very frustrating getting pushed every friday.good luck and hope you get good news soon.

Thanks.
I guess this is why they have November pencilled- they’re hopeful of a 12 month wait which might be the case as it sounds like the factories and supply chains are more operational than before.

It seems that my tale differs from the norm here.

Ordered an SE Estate in March of this year with a couple of extras and the dealer rang last week to inform that it's been built and is waiting to be shipped. Was originally given an ETA of 30 weeks (November) when ordered. They've said it should be ready to pick up at some point this month!

I was honestly preparing for next year at the earliest when reading these forums so it's quite the surprise. Here's hoping this is a sign of things picking up for others who have been waiting a while.

Wow, this really seems surreal given the experience we have. Make sure you post some pics when it arrives 😉

So guys, MySkoda app finally accepted my VIN. Wonder if that really means its finished? :) Been trying for a month, and now it happened!

I think it is slowly getting better at least for an estate versions.

Indeed i did ask my dealer about this. She said that if i could add the car to MySkoda app, it could be interpret as it being done.

She does not see it being ready yet, but its very possible, that the car is ready, but not updated to her systems yet.

So at the moment, it should be ready for transportation.

it is very confusing and the people who are to blame or should i say.it is lies at skoda tdoorstep.total lack of information and the crazy delivery system that is in place some guys getting there cars in a matter of months and lots of guys waiting well over one year.then you get the dealers who telling customer unreal delivery times just to get a sale done.i know some people say it is not them to blame but why are they telling us customers blatant lies imo.they work under the skoda banner so they are as much to blame then head office of skoda.

If in the UK maybe just concern yourself with Skoda/ VW UK who are the importer and information relating to the UK.  What Skoda / VW in EU or continental Europe or other world regions say or do is a whole different matter.

I did get today official mail from over Slovenia importer why my car isn't done yet. after i wrote to them what is situation with my car.

and they tell me that i didn't reacive my car because of delivery problem reverse camera, cable harneses for SPORTLINE package and 2.0 TSI adn that this production date which i got 36/22 is at the moment last and final date. IF again IF with delivery of this parts won't be problem or delay delivery

so again nothnig new that.

I guess i do know that i will just question is WHEN.  i guess and hope this date is close to be FINAL which they provide

I am surprised you were able to get such accurate info on what’s missing, mine is parked and waiting for parts of unknown nature 😊

I would like to stay positive but as you said it yourself, there are plenty of IFs involved. My production / build week was also 20/22, until this week passed and status got changed to delayed…

I call BS on that. Actually i call BS on everything they say here in Slovenia.

Any and every single thing people got from them as an explanation why their car is still not finished my car does not have. And i am still here 3 days away from 15 months of waiting.

I fully understand your frustration, hang in there mate.
Last week I read on CZ forum that someone almost had his car delivered, but as they removed the plastic film they discovered the paint damage and had to be returned to factory….

never hear that a car with faulty paint go back to factory ! usually the reseller did the correcting job

Well this is what google translate says:

So I'll put the brakes on the optimism I've been trying to spread here. Today, after removing the protective films, the dealer noticed a damaged paintwork, apparently from a long time (since February) in the sun, and the Scout will go back to MB for a claim and a repaint.

and here is the link to the forum:

I guess MB stands for Mlada Boleslav, maybe the CZ have it differently as the fatory is near.

Ahaha that sh!t is just sick xD

All those cars that are sitting on parking lot are not new aynmore. They shouldn`t even allow them to be sold as a new cars.

Imagine in what state is let`s say my car that is waiting on a parking lot for 4+ months?!?

Honestly it is not worth the price or the "new car" title.

I can imagine that the protection film acts differently if on a car a few days or weeks compared to several months under all sorts of weather conditions (heavy rain, heat). There are also cars that are stored in ports, also in the open, but I don’t know how long they normally stay there.

the storage of cars vans etc has been going on for years and years.it does not bother me if my car has been stuck out in the open for a few months and could you tell it has been.maybe people in the trade may know but a lot of us have not got a clue in these matters.in any case do they apply a coat of something to protect it?
