Delivery times?

UK sales.  As usual that is VW UK that bought them in lots of cases, there are Demonstrators and Management cars and out to special customers on lease that took models that the general public never ordered or bought.  These are now Used cars up for sale.  Look at demand outstripping supply yet very expensive Enyaq and other Skoda models are sitting waiting for buyers.   Skoda / VW UK are first registering cars as they need to to ensure the Average CO2 figures to save being fined.    'delivered to customers'. That is Dealerships and not necessarily the general buying public.  First Registrations is what matters in a quarter, in a 6 month period, in a year.

Baffled by your statement lots of Enyaq waiting for buyers

Skoda UK website showing 837 new cars available, zero of which are Enyaq.

And used car page showing just 22 Enyaq for sale (under 3k miles)

I suspect they don’t have enough cars available to play with sales to get average CO2 down at current time.

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

78 used or new Enyaq for sale just on Autotrader and the Demonstrators are not available until they have done 3,000 miles / 3 months or the Dealers will not be benefiting from the lovely tax break that UK tax payers fund and get a nice profit for Dealers / VW Group. (But then obviously tax is paid on profits, but that is easily manipulated.)

Selling like hot cakes, huge demand, huge spin and watching residuals.

@SurreyJohnVW UK can not fail to meet the C02 average or they will be fined on every vehicle.

Anything coming in the has low emissions is getting first registered.  Nothing is sitting waiting just incase production grinds to a halt and models do not come in with 5 months of this year to go.

BEV, PHEV & Mild Hybrid battery shortages for the VW Group and the partners (Pooling) they have to get UK fleet figures low is an issue for them on how many higher emission vehicles can be First Registered, or is that Delivered or even sold.

Congrats, we cancelled Canton about a month ago hoping to get the car sooner

I was also asked to leave out Canton. Dealer didnt know how much it would effect, so i told him i want them. We'll see if i really have them when i get the car on wednesday!

Today i'm celebrating first year of waiting, called my dealer, he told me, that there are no confirmed production date, so he can't tell me when the car will be produced, he told me if i'm lucky, i will get car in the beggining of the next year, and that will be approx 18 months of waiting. Also he told me, that factory on vacation.

Seems like they've shifted vacations so they produced parking cars.

Sad to hear that your waiting has no end. If mine would not gotten to production on february, i would be in the same boat with you.

Weeks 30+31 was supposed to be vacations for factory.

I can't say "happy anniversary", 'cause I know the feeling - I'll also celebrate 1 year in 2 weeks from now. On the other hand, I did receive the VIN, and was told we're on the final stretch... whatever that means.
BTW - it's been more than 3 weeks since I got the VIN, but I still can't register it in SkodaConnect App.

It's arrived. Really nice. Sounds great. Happy after ordering May 21 and 3 colour changes !

Unable to connect to Skoda app

Bizarrely no engine cover . Cost saving or missing parts lol

No electric seats but have virtual pedal for boot

Wasn’t the engine cover prone to fire and therefore needed replacement which is not available yet?

Did you order electric seats and received your car without?
Nevertheless, nice looking car, many safe miles 👍

Electric seats with memory was standard kit when ordering if I remember correctly

They do keep surprising us 😁 do you know if it’s already a new one or the one that will eventually have to be replaced?

The Engine Cover Safety Recall and missing covers on new cars is about 2.0 TSI's, nothing to do with TDI's.

Does e-Tec mean hybrid?

Indeed, I know of such cases, but in general it was known by the Factory and by Dealer that they do not have all the pieces to complete the car, and that it will be parked until components arrive. Whether they told the Client or not, that's a different story... Did they tell you at that time that the car won't be completed?
In my case, when I was given the VIN, the Dealer told me that the car will not be produced incomplete and go waiting for parts - apparently they can see that piece of info in the system. On the other hand they have no reason to lie to me, since they know very well I'm not at all pressed to get the new car. (except maybe for the childish unpatience to get a new toy, as @timster was saying...)

got no idea just when i got the car and popped the hood and presto the engine cover was on it.

@Joss1733Is your car not a vRS TDI 4x4 estate, so nothing to do with engine covers being removed?

On 22/03 I received info from dealer that my car went into production. A few emails later, on 11/04 I received info that it has VIN, but went to parking lot, supposedly because of missing door panels. Delivery was supposed to be in May, and when that week passed, the status got changed to delayed. No updates since.

Missing engine cover is part of a recall.

Mhev, here it is only possible option of 1,5 TSI with DSG. As far as i see cars in the city with same engines i see e-tec label.

e-tec is MHEV, which means mild hybrid. 50Nm electric motor helps when going, but does not move without ICE. Charges from braking mainly. Has about 0.56kWh battery under the seat.

Mine was finished and ready for delivery on 17 July. It arrived in Romania on 26 July. Since then it appears un the system with the status in delivery to the dealer.

And, the dealer cannot say when it will arrive.
