How should I buy a used Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

New on here and hoping some of you may be able to help. Don’t currently own a Skoda but planning to change cars in a few months.

The car I would really like is the facelift Octavia VRS but my question is how should I go about it. I expect to get about £5k for my current car and may have about another £5k to add to that.

I’ve always bought cars outright before but been looking at PCP, is this advisable for a used lower mileage VRS? And if so should I go big or small on the deposit?

Alternative is to put max and down fund balance with a bank loan for 4 years instead of pcp or pcp for 4 years and then get a loan to pay off balance if it’s worth it, obviously if it’s not I can give it back.

PCP is new to me and although I think I understand I really want to be sure I’m doing the right thing in how I go about trying to get a VRS. Any help appreciated.
