Skoda vRS seat options

Featured Replies

The electric load cover on my Passat just meant it would retract half way when you opened the boot. Didn't do anything else. You then had to manually close it

Do you know if these were options right from the start or have they been added to Irish configuration recently?

Sorry, I don't know.

How is it that the SE L got better seats than the VRS? Saw an SE L for sale which had fairly sporty Seats for a non sporty model, with what appears to be leather and alcantara.

I think it’s a subjective topic to be honest.
The VRS and Sportline models across all the Skoda cars have a sports seat with integrated headrests as part of their style.
The SEL models have always had the more luxury (in traditional standards) leather or leather and alcantara seats, again across all models, Octavia (Mk3 and 4, Superb, Karoq, etc etc).
As to which are “better” like I say, it’s subjective. 🤷🏻‍♂️

my 2 cents, seat options on RS is joke.
cloth=0$

cloth memory = 800

alcantara/leather=1800

==========

full leather= not available

Is the leather/alcantara same as the electric seat with different cloth?

Not sure why its not over here in UK.

Any countries with RHD outside UK have them?

Here in Australia my vRS had an optional "Premium Pack" which included the leather/alcantara seats.

Do you like them? Are they sweaty when its hot oudside? How breathable are they?

I do like them. They look very classy. They feel comfortable.

I cannot tell about the sweatiness etc because I have only had this car from late Autumn to the end of our (very mild) winter.

I do worry about how easy the Alcantara will be to clean (and to avoid getting solied by the leather conditioner that I might use on the learther parts.

I would have preferred 100% leather on the parts that face people.

Our Golf AllTrack has that and it is very easy to clean.

Luckily we do not have little children and our grandchildren, who will be carried occasionally, are getting older and less messy.

Still it is good that the seatbacks, where they kick, are in leather (or maybe its vinyl) and easy to wipe.

Also we have the Skoda rubber mats which fit great and even cover the central hump.

Yeah i they do look comfortable and very nice. Not sure if the massage option really helps anything. For the price, would have liked to have cooled.

But here's the difference. I really prefer the leather WITH alcantara. Leather is hot and sweaty if in sleevless shirt etc. My golf has cloth/alcantara now, and i really like the softness of alcantara.

Also i think it quite easy to keep clean since imo it does not absorb as normal cloth seats do.
