Hi, 

I just purchased new Kodiaq (manufacturing date 02/2021) and set it up with free first year Skoda Connect and Infotainment Online. It has Amundsen Infotainment system (Hardware H22, Software 0270, Navigation database 21.2).

On the Skoda Connect Portal Shop and also inside car Infotainment Shop I can see all these services in my package activated until 04/2022:

Online Voice-Control
Petrol Stations
Online Map Update - Download
Online Route Calculation
Parking Spaces
Online POI-Search (text)
Online Traffic Information

I can also see all these services running in the car navigation system. Voice control is also functioning (after I changed the language to English). 

I can also use MySkoda iphone app to check the vehicle status, doors and windows, trips, parking location, honk and flash, etc. 

Web radio is also working. 

 

What I do not understand is why I am not seeing Skoda Connect icon in the MENU options of my Infotainment.

This is what is available when I choose MENU in my car:

 

 

And this is what I think I am missing - Skoda Connect icon - which then gives me options for News, Weather, POIs, Petrol Stations, routes, Parking, Online Destinations and Update:

 

 

Is all these (except News and Weather of course) now just simply integrated in NAV (as I do see them there in the maps) without a Skoda Connect as a separate option to chose in MENU, or should I have this icon nevertheless?

 

All seems to be set up fine, and I have no problem using all the services listed in my Infotainment and Care Connect active package, it is just that it bugs me that I have this icon missing from the menu...

 

I don't have this icon in mine. Built 01/21 I believe.

Do you have Infotainment Online and Skoda Connect services subscribed to and active in your car?

 

Does this mean that this menu option is gone with the latest software for everybody?

Yes, am subscribed to the online and connect services.

 

If I try to order the News or Weather apps in the Shop, I get a message that they are not available for my car.

 

Not really looked into all this much. I have only used the native Nav once. I doubt there's much that Skoda can offer apps wise that is not available via CarPlay.

Interesting... I am not even offered News or Weather app in my Shop. When I enter my in car Shop I am only shown the list of already subscribed services and their short description including their exparation date info, without any options to buy new content. I just assumed that News and Weather are free of charge when you are subscribed to Infotainment Online. Guess not.

Can you maybe share a photo of how your shop looks like and where can you choose extra apps? Wonder where you would access them if purchased, considering there is no Skoda Connect Icon in the Menu just like in my case...

You are probably right about the value of all this Skoda Connect content, but I would just like to explore everything offered and be sure I am not missing anything that is already included with my new car (at last within the first year when it is suposed to be free of charge).

The upper pictures are MIB 3 headunit.

The lower ones are MIB 2,5 (discontinued).

Oh, great, that is the useful information, glad to finally get to the bottom of this.

It is not documented anywhere so I appreciate you shedding some light to this.

Do you know maybe how to access Infotainment Online apps on MIB 3 then (when they are available depending on region and when they are purchased) and/or other options that were available inside Skoda Connect menu on MIB 2.5 (as seen on the bottom right picture from the first post)?

If you look at the Availability information for the Infotainment Online services, eg for News here https://availability.skoda-auto.com/210/en-gb#/service/14, you'll see that it became unavailable from 07/2020

As you can see, I don't have any of the items shown like you do, only Infotainment online and data plans.

Your Shop looks to be up to date, and makes more sense, since those Apps are not available anyway, in any country/region it seems.

I noticed yesterday that my MIB3 Amundsen was telling me there was a Software Update.  This I completed very quickly but disappointingly the missing icon has not yet appeared.  The update has though corrected another problem as I now find I can download a route from the app to my car.  I have managed to have one route download and my fingers are crossed that this is not another temporary fix.  Now all I want is access to Skoda Connect via my unit so I may then check back on previous routes that I may have downloaded amongst other things.  Patiently waiting again Skoda!!

the same problem here. i believe it was there before. after system upgrade there is none. infotainment is active in gratis period for one year.
