It’s probably in here somewhere..

Unless you ordered a white one, it's doubtful.

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

I think they all have a white protection foil covering them :D My Scala is still on a list and no information available.

Unfortunately many cars are started on the production line, and then, due to parts shortages they are bunkered, some on an airfield. So your car may not be 'on the production line' but sitting unfinished.

I saw someone say on this forum they're no longer building unfinished cars. I don't know whether that's true or not.
Still got no news on my June order. Original estimated delivery on the order form was Oct/Nov, but as far as I'm aware the order hasn't been accepted by the factory and there's no build date.

Good day, I ordered Kodiaq executive dsg diesel on 03/29/2021, built at the end of August, now it is in the warehouse of the incomplete cars lack of chips, no news about delivery. Ordered old model confirmed new model arrival. I write from Italy.
Sorry about the text, google translate ....

Just heard that all cars ordered on  a contract hire deal are going to the back of the queue

We've just got a reply our skoda is due to be built 23rd November so jab delivery. We've not ordered through dealer but broker through my wife's work.

I hope as the build date is so close it doesn't change now

Anyone know the Xmas and New year shut downs?

My build date was 16th August, still waiting, it’s parked up at airfield awaiting parts/ components  to complete build.

I have to say I am experiencing a very different level of customer service this time around compared to last.

My previous dealer kept me informed at every stage of the delivery process, enabling me to do everything I needed to do in good time.  e.g. Car at port, car on boat, car at our dealership etc

This time around I have heard zero.  Just "car has been made and delivery expected around this week".

Ultimately you could argue it doesn't matter as it has zero impact on the delivery time, but annoyingly there are quite a few steps I need to do to get ready this time around, and being kept in the delivery loop would actually make my life easier.

Guess it actually shows a value of (some) dealers.

I am now told that there is a backlog at Emden....   Finding this hard to believe as surely the numbers are lower, but there you go.

I have been "reliably" informed that mine's been built, but no further information than that...

mine should go into build 23rd so tuesday then 6 weeks meaning after the new year i guess. just waiting on dealer to confirm tuesday is still happpening

Heard from the broker this week. My June order hasn't made any progress (no build date)  and they've got >100 other people in a similar situation. Annoying, but what can you do.

we ordered similar to you (start of June 7th i think) its crazy the lottery

Sympathise with everyone waiting, with no end in sight! I got lucky and found a Kodiaq VRS Facelift model at a dealer in Newcastle, cars sitting their ready to go but I cant have it...its a misbuild with the wrong steering wheel stitching! Wheels been on order for two weeks and no updates or confirmed delivery date. So frustrating being so close but not available, cant imagine how frustating it is for those without a build date though!

Yeah it is, i just hope our car can go on without any problems so it can get sold afterwards.

I really really hope that 'misbuild' isn't a result of the current chaos.  I can't bear the thought of having to wait nearly a year to be presented with a lemon caused by Skoda not being able to build normally.  Here's hoping...

Wow if i find out i got a Lemon, i would go berserk for real 😞

How come they had it in the first place? Dealers can't order the VRS for stock or demo, so was it a cancelled order or something? Really can't believe someone rejected it for that reason!

No idea tbh, assumed it was just ordered for stock.

I can tell you it won't be a case of someone rejecting it just because of the wheel stitching because they won't actually give me the car until they get the new wheel...

Tbh beginning to think something funny is going on here, originally they told me there was a registration block on it til Feb 2022...then when I pushed a bit I was told they could release it...then I get the whole can't give you it without the wheel stitching being the right colour nonsense. Wouldn't be surprised if this wheel doesn't turn up til Feb 2022

Have you actually seen this car and verified that it does exist…? 😳

Haha yeah, sat in it and everything so I know its real. Still there too, drove past the dealer on the way to a meeting yesterday.

The only issue is the stitching, which is apparently a direct order from skoda that these cars can't be registered until the issue is resolved.

Maybe paranoia but surely a car manufacturing who was willing to shift on the car being registered before Feb 2022(apparently there was a block due to a shortage of cars for the showroom) wouldn't be so strict on the colour of stitching on a steering wheel

If I were you, I'd be asking about how they came by this one and why it's up for sale... what exactly is wrong with the stitching, anyway?

It's just really odd that they happen to have a VRS sitting around the dealership, when others on here (not just me) have been told that dealers can't order them for demo/stock. Something doesn't add up, and while I hope it is just paranoia and you get the car sooner rather than later, you really don't want to end up with something if there are problems the dealer is keeping quiet on... or there's some history to the car they won't tell you.

DM Keith Grimsby have a new vRS for sale on Autotrader , there’s a few Sportlines and other models available as well.
