My June 21 order still has no build date. I did specify the sleep package though, looks like that might have effected it.

Mine too….

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

Me too.

And the towbar, and the heating.

i've got digital dash and sun roof only. which even if they said these re holding it up i'd not sacrifice either

My provisional BW14 is now provisional BW13 so at least heading in the right direction. Dealer has been great with the regular comms and will hopefully get confirmed BW soon- 147 days since order,  it’s an agonising wait when your like a kid in a sweet shop 🚙💨

thats great news what spec sportline have you ordered?

Come back at 319 days and talk to me about agonising...

Im trading the Sportline for a VRS with ventilated leather seats, winter pack, sleep pack and towbar. Basically same monthly payments (not including extra fuel of course) 😬

Sorry Buddy but I’ve been they only to be disappointed when it changes. Had a very interesting guy who is in sales at a Skoda dealership. There is definitely a pecking order (fact) related to profit in the car. Lease and Mobility are suffering.

Makes sense when a couple of us waiting are emergency services discount vehicles. I might write to the papers, proper "I worked through the pandemic" compo face 🤣

I honestly thought the BW would be put back instead of brought forward but it’s only provisional and I know anything could still happen. It may even go to AndD’s 319 days and beyond! ☹️ Also, not sure how balancing emissions will work out now that Enyaq production is affected with the awful Ukraine situation. Could it be the lower emission cars are brought forward?

The most revealing bit of that video

I was looking for the bit where they were sticking on the exterior trim with chewing gum... 😉

If that's the case then when do you ever expect to receive your cars? If as you maintain, it's related to profit, the only way you are going to receive your car is when Skoda have no orders left. As far as I can see there are queues / mountains of customers only too willing to pay more than you.

So if you think you're at the end of a never ending queue, what purpose does it serve waiting or complaining?

The idea that the factory are looking at individuals rather than the actual car is unrealistic IMO

I have ordered another brand. There as to be a compromise somewhere so after nearly a year of waiting, the cars will not be too much longer. My dealer dismissed the information, but believe me I could not have got this info from a more reliable source. Good Luck, I will be interested to see how it pans out.

I don’t think it’s going to be as clear cut as people are making out. Skoda U.K. who profess the orders don’t know how much you’ve paid. I guess they might know how it’s financed so it’s possible lease gets a lower build priority. But I’d be amazed if they actually knew what the customer paid. Less so the factory. However of course Skoda will know there are trims and lines that are higher profit than others. So suspect it’s more that than individual circumstances.

My car was discounted by Skoda and only an Additional small amount by the dealer. Trust me, they know. This source of info works in sales for Skoda!

Yeah I think it’s reasonable they would know the manufacturer deal a car was sold under.

I just don’t think they know the actual deal a customer signs. If you buy through Carwow for example your dealer effectively loses out not Skoda.

dealers who supply carwow will be selling more cars, all be at a lower profit per car

but if they stack them high and sell em cheap,  plus there bonuses from skoda for selling lots of cars

it must work for them, otherwise they'd  be sticking  to  selling just  a few cars per week at near full retail to local customers.

Yeah as I understand it the dealers with carwow effectively give up all commission to offer those deals. And try to make it back as you say by hitting their stretch targets for large bonus.

Speaking to those in the trade though it’s a risky old business and it’s why most don‘t sell that way. Even the carwow dealers sell normally to customers too so it’s not like 100% of their custom but still. It probably works for a handful which is why they do it.

Hi all, it’s been a while but I’ve now had my Kodiaq for two and a half years and love it. Earlier in February my dealership contacted me to say due to the equity In my car there was a mega deal to be done. Bearing in mind it’s on a 4 year pcp I wasn’t in a rush but long story short I’m now upgrading my edition for an L&K and going to pay a fair bit less for it. Apparently they have some guaranteed build slots and it should be here in September (but I won’t hold my breath)!

Guaranteed build slots aren’t a thing. Unless lots of people have been kidding me on…

Swapped my Karoq edition for a new sportline kodiaq on order last week. Saved loads too. It’s a great time to do it. Meant to be being built in June and here for September too but I’m not exactly expecting that to happen with the added complexities in Russia and Ukraine. But we will see.

Deal was too good to pass on.

According to the dealer my Sportline ordered 10/11/21 is built (Wk9) and on its way to the port. Fingers crossed for next month.
