cell phone can not connect to skoda superb 2011

Featured Replies

My phone has previously connected to the car and logged in. I had to reset the car computer to factory reset. I have tried many times to get it to log in as per instructions. It can see the phone and puts up BT-skoda on the phone, I click the log in to phone on the seering wheel it changes the display on the phone to log in and on the car it gives four sets of the same number IE 4444 5555 0000 1111 I type in any of these and the car displays failed to log in. I have even tried 1234. What can I do next?

Tell us what phone it is. That may have a bearing on your issue.

Is your phone saved to the car when you're trying to connect? Or do you search it as a new device? Only thing that comes to my mind is to delete your phone from the saved devices and re-connect. And if I remember correctly, you will need to connect another phone to delete your phone from the list.

The phone is a motorla G6, in previously connected devices on the phone are BT_garminn smart drive, fit watch GN. the computer on the car shows nothing connected. I tried another G6 my wife's it did the same and it had never been connected to the car.

I'd try rebooting your Bluetooth module in the car firstly. That's as simple as locating the module under the driver's seat (move the seat back and you'll see the module under a black plastic cover on the floor) and unplugging any cables connected to it, then plugging all the cables back in again (usually there's only two at most but you might only have one). After this, I'd also reboot the Colombus (press and hold down the < > and the microphone buttons) and the device will reboot. Finally, there's no harm also rebooting your phone. After that, try connecting your phone again.

If the above doesn't work, I think you can try establishing the Bluetooth connection either through the phone or through the car. So whichever one you are trying, try doing it the other way.

If you're still not able to connect, it may be that your Bluetooth module has packed up (or the fuse supplying power has blown). Ideally you'd be getting the car scanned with VCDS or similar to see if there are any stored faults with the module. I don't think it's the fuse, given that you seem to be seeing the Bluetooth module attempt to connect to your phone. If there was no power, it shouldn't ever give you an option to connect I would think.

Thank you, unfortunately this has not worked. I have unplugged the blue tooth and reconnected, re booted the columbus, factory defaulted the motorola .I am a radio engineer, I can see the phone is receiving data from the car blue tooth and the car is receiving the code from the phone as it then says log in not possible, the phone says could not pair with skoda_BT because of incorrect pin or pass key. Each time the car gives four sets of numbers in groups of four with a space between them, I tried the lot and still the same.
