It will be interesting to know if that might be for non EU WLTP Certificated cars like in Australia.

Same information is printed in all regional variations of manual, also for Superb iV (1.4tsi)

In my mind, the statement of emergency use of up to 0.5 litres only of 504/507 0w-30 implies that 508/509 is not suitable for some engines, and 504/507 0w-30 is the closest to a ”universal oil".

Interesting to note the use of API SP spec. thats a new one on me

  • No... and if that was the case, surely all the directions would be wrong? For example, it shows the correct way (clockwise) around a roundabout. It's just this one particular thing that's wrong.

  • More common than the TDI version that made absolutely no sense whatsoever? Hardly difficult, nor surprising really. More common than other variants? I very much doubt it. More common than R-

  • Here is mine with aftermarket centre caps they were a little loose had to wrap electrical tape around the prongs but they fit a treat now

With the 1.4 TSI iV's they are Fixed Service Oil changes.

There are some members that have had those serviced and they might know which oil the Dealerships used.

There will be members that have 2019 on 272/280 Superbs that will have had Main Dealers servicing in Europe that might know what oil was used.

@xmanYou might well be right which is a good thing if that helps those that are not sure about what they need.

Well I am totally confused now.

I think I will get some 0W 30 and top it up with that.

@xspartx What is it that you would be topping up with that?

At the risk of stirring the usual hornets nest I think you'll find that is pure conjecture by you.

If i had a leased from Motability TSI / TDI built since 2018 and it was in for Servicing it would get the Recommended oil which is VW 508 00 / 509 00

If i had one i owned and a keeper i would not be running Long Life Oil, not Castrol / Quantum be getting oil changes other than fixed oil service regimes.

So to summerise, you don't own a Kodiaq, you never have owned a Kodiaq and you don't even own a Skoda.

When I read threads from 2019, that would indicate to me what dealers WERE using. I very much doubt anyone is interested on what dealers WERE using, they're interested on what dealers use NOW.

@kodiaqsportline I do own a Skoda, a Fabia Mk2 vRS.

Is that a do or did? I thought that was a mobility car that you then changed for an Alhambra (nice car) and now a Corsa ev?

@xmanNice that you are interested (or a little creepy)

but thinking is not knowing. I do have a Skoda now, and enough parts and another bodyshell to put another together.

You can only have so many cars on a road at any one time, or i can.

I ran a Volvo S60 for 2 years which a swapped my 8 year old Picanto for, and a Jimny for 16 years as dailys before getting an Alhambra along with Skodas..

Motability Lease's are for only 3 years, and i am on my 12th Motability car.  2 of which i bought and kept for another 6 years & 10 years.
