MTEC brakes?

Sorry I meant the extra dimpled / grooved??

What diameter front brake discs have you got? 280mm, 288mm, 312mm, etc.

ATE have some wavy ones in the 280mm and 288mm diameters (and probably the 312mm diameter too). These might be better than drilled discs as with these wavy discs you still have the full 3mm of allowable wear, ie. 22mm thickness when new can go down to 19mm and 25mm thickness when new can go down to 22mm, before needing replacement...as shown in the listings on the below link. The drilled discs I've seen only allow about 2mm of wear before needing replacement.

I used Pagid standard disks and pads all round on our VRS CR. They have been really good. Was speaking to the mechanic at a local garage recently and he uses Apex brakes. He says they are very good quality.

I am changing my 288mm front disks in my Audi to 312mm. I had to get different caliper carriers to permit fitting the bigger disks. I would assume it would be the same for the rears.

I just put the metc drilled and grooved 312 mm discs on 1000 miles ago much better than the drivetec ones that i had on before I warped those in less than a year. Can attest for the metc longevity obviously

I’ve also got the Mtec drilled and grooved on my octavia vrs petrol and it’s great for stopping to be fair I’ve had them on For about 1580 miles and still stopping very well upto now !!

I've used mtec on a couple of cars now and quality is better than OEM and lasted longer, going to fit them on my Touareg when the current pads are due
