Anyone with some experience to share?

We got the rubber mats front and back + trunk.

Anything else that is "Simply clever" worth the money?

A breakdown truck?

Well, that's a bit harsh....

Never sure when I set out I'll make it home. We have five (we chose this model) in our fleet, all have problems. Two have broken down and spent weeks off the road. Mine has just passed 5k miles and yet every day there are new problems. Warm, waterproof clothes  and some food are now always in my car. Such a shame because had Skoda not stuffed up this would nearly have matched my Superb.

Well, my vRS is just under 5k miles, and I only had problems with the infotainment, which had never prevented me from reaching my destination. (Touch wood)

Mine regularly misdirects me. Use Android now but have now had three instances where the infotainment unit locks at "Loading Settings". My car is a work tool and one I need to rely on, not an unreasonable expectation to assume that each successive model get better is it?

Yeah, I needed shades for the baby, so firstly tried one of those that you stick to the window itself. Yet, it's rubbish, as it doesn't cover the whole window, so there was always an angle, where the sun was getting in. So, I went with these - https://www.carshades.co.uk/shades-skoda-octavia-estate-2019-full-rear-p-9186.html.

They're not great, but much better than before, even thought the windows are tinted.

I have returned my leased Mk4 Estate this week and have a set of shades for full rear I am hoping to find a new user for - please pm me if you are interested so I can share ebay link.

A protective foil for main infotainment screen.
Mud flaps for the winter.
PPF for the front. A bit more expensive option.
A mini USB key for MP3s.

I haven't bothered with protective foil for the infotainment screen. Mine still seems fine.

Mud flaps sounds like a good idea. Probably makes it look better too.

I'm not sure what PPF means. It's not the top thing in a google search that's for sure. Clarification needed here.

I use my phone rather than a USB key. Less hassle and can add albums to it easier.

Didn't know there was a rubber matt for the boot. Sounds good.

A bumper protector by the boot

Tyres that can be used below about +9c in wet (+4c in dry), the default summer tyres are not suitable for use in UK all year round, as don’t grip in cold rain, sleet, snow, frost, or if cold enough for road to be salted (and who wants to be doing 70mph on a motorway with poor grip)

I disagree about the tyres. My Pirellis were fine down to about 4oC which is what you'd expect for summer tyres. You just need to take more care at lower temps - you cant just plant the throttle and expect everything to be fine. Also the fronts lasted 29,500 miles. Got Continentals on the front now which I think feel better but maybe just because they have new tread.

For me i've gone with the following........

Faraday pouch for each fob

small tray/organiser for under front armrest

128gb USB-C memory stick (for my music not on Apple Music)

20cm Lightning cable for phone next to USB-C sockets

Hinged luggage fixing panels for the boot (Bought two packs of two)

Skoda felt bag (left in boot to keep small items from going everywhere) *This was a freebie by collecting my daily points on the MySkoda app.

Skoda rubbish bin for door pocket (Had a couple in previous car (but they were ivory coloured) so nicked one of the wife's black ones from her Fabia so we just have one in each drivers door now

Not an accessory as such but could be classed as sort of????

Full range of colours for the cockpit lighting.

In some ways they're largely pointless with KESSY vehicles as the key stops trasnmitting after 1 minute anyway so they aren't as vulernable to a relay theft.

If you want to stop your car being taken the best thing you can do is make sure you have anti-snap locks fitted to your doors, and I say this from experience. In 2022 I got a new Cupra Ateca and within 6 months there was an attempt to steal it. They didn't even attempt the relay theft (because they'd have known the key wouldn't be transmitting at 3am) and instead tried to get in for the keys. They failed front and back because we the locks are anti-snap and they couldn't get past them. About 15 minutes later a Golf R was stolen a quarter of a mile away after they forced the lock of the back door in seconds.

If the thieves are committed enough then they'll come for the keys, so make sure they can't get in!

That works for your home (They’re still put in the pouches at home anyway) but at work the fob isn’t left perfectly still so would keep active without one. Pouch keeps the battery from draining and also someone scanning it from outside my ground floor office.
