Limited edition VRS 2009 18" alloy wheel required 14 spoke

Featured Replies

Hi all, help please...  Hit a large pothole and bent my wheel plus killed the tyre. This style of wheel was last listed by Skoda ~ 5 yrs ago and was originally fitted to the VRS's at the docks in Hull not the factory, so no chance of getting a new one. Has anyone had a similar issue and maybe replaced all four wheels and now got three spares?

Do you know anywhere I could source a secondhand wheel from any suggestion is welcomed.

Chris

They are 15 spoke, not 14 spoke.

What is the OEM part number?

This will be cast into the back of the rim, so not visible with the wheel fitted to the car.

Once you have the OEM part number, set up a search on ebay so if one comes up for sale you will be notified.

ebay.de which is the German version of ebay is also sometimes useful for secondhand Skoda alloy rims.

The 18" rims on the Octavia MK2 usually have a specification of 7.5Jx18 ET51

Thank you for the info and leads.

I only counted about half the wheel spokes and doubled it so got 14 instead of the correct 15, that's being lazy.

Looks promising on eBay.

I  had the wheel into WA wheels in Norwich and they scrapped it, I maybe should have had a go at it myself.

Went to Peterborough Monday and bought the 4 secondhand wheels that were on eBay.

Some curb rash but OK. Have 2 of these now on the back and put an existing wheel from the back to replace the bent one on the front. So now have 3 spares, I'd call that a result.

Thanks again for the help.

Hi,

I have managed to do the exact same thing on Christmas Day with a pothole so if you fancied selling a spare I would be interested! Or if anyone else hears of any sales of more of these wheels - I would be in the market for one!

Thanks!

Yes I have two wheels that you could choose from, that way I still have spares. Please send a mail giving me an idea of  what you wish to do (where are you based and an offer price)

Cheers

officially you need freedom membership to sell through the site

Just as a FYI.

If anyone asks for items in the Wanted section then anyone else can answer with what they have.

On the other hand if someone wants to advertise items then they must be a Freedom member and a price must be stated as Briskoda isn't an auction service.

I appreciate this thread falls between the gaps but if it happens to attract new Freedom members then........... 😉

Thanks John, I did not want to bend the rules, just ignorant of them. May I reply to this by asking him to put a 'want' in the Wanted section?

Cheers Chris

I think he may already realise that you have some for sale lol.

As I mentioned previously, why not join Freedom so you can sell both of them and you’d also get a warm glow in doing so. 😉

These aren't genuine Skoda wheels. They were sourced and fitted locally by Skoda's UK importer on a limited number of Octavia's.
