Revo Serial Port Switching

Featured Replies

Hey,

has anyone tried: http://revotechnik.com/products/sps.aspx

Basically a module that you plug into the OBD2 port and changes the mapping

for you.

SPS2 looks particularly good with the anti-theft mode.

Going away for the week, completely kill the engine mapping, so that it won't even start with the keys.

any good/ bad stories about them?

thanks,

pretty much every VAG owner has heard of Revo and their products from one time or another.

i dont have an opionion on them so a search of the forusm is your best bet.

hth

Try Seatcupra.net - they love REVO.

hey,

not so much asking about revo, as I hear they are one of the best

More asking about the Serial Port Switcher,

anyone got one?

I've got an SPS3, it does exactly what it says on the tin - variable boost, variable timing, stock mode and anti theft. Dial it up, pop it in, < 10secs later drive on.

I understood that but where there is REVO there will be SPS units ;)

Dont you need the REVO remap for the SPS switcher to work.

Also IIRC the antitheft feature doesnt kill the engine. The engine can be started and run but the throttle is disabled this rendering the car undriveable.

Yep AFAIK ;)

That's why I was directing him to a large crowd of REVO and SPS users but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears :P
