Tyre dressing

Featured Replies

Hi all does anyone have a favourite brand or product for dressing tires that isn’t over glossy? and adds a bit of uv protection? So many choices out there thought I’d ask the petrol heads cheers

My favourite is Meguiars tyre gel, but it is quite glossy. Lasts well though and the gloss does die down.

Park the car in a dark garage and only ever drive at night for UV protection with the added advantage of nobody will see if your tyres are shiny, satin or matt.

Seriously does anybody actually believe that putting a micro-thin coat of a silicone product will protect tyres from UV degradation?

I don't doubt that most products claim to do so, talk is cheap................

CarPro Pearl.

I’ve used Megs’ Endurance for years, but just discovered AG spray-on stuff, which is so much less messy to apply.  I don’t think it’s as durable as the Megs, though.

Meguires hot shine 👍

Carbon collective sateen.

Also have megs endurance

The carbon collective stuff keeps the tyre looking fresh for way longer than most tyre dressings(3weeks-ish) and its a nice factory fresh look (unless you layer it up if you want glossyness)

Talk is cheap ,and sometimes pointless and other times very unhelpfull to folk who have asked a straight forward question

Have tried quite a few but always end up going back to meguiars tyre gel

+1  Another vote for CC Sateen here.  Just out to do it now having washed the Sahara off the cars.
