Haldex controller replacement

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just had the bearings replaced in the rear diff of my 2015 Octavia Scout, but now it's been reinstalled a problem with the Haldex controller has come to light... it's full of water and has shorted!

Finding the controller replacement is becoming a nightmare.

The part number is 0CQ907554D. I have found various places selling the controller unit for VW's and AUDI's but the final letter is H not D.

Just wondering if this would be compatible with my unit?

There are a few for sale on ebay with the H ending, and state that they are compatible with D models but thought it double check before taking the chance.

Cheers

Google haldex repairs Crewe. The guy is a proper guru.

Usually the later revisions are backward compatible unless its something like a steering wheel controller where some have more functionality than others.

If the component is physical changed and no longer interchangeable with earlier vehicles, say a generation 4 controller from generation 3 then usually the part number will change.

The above is general info.

Does anyone know where to find Haldex controllers in ETKA? @nige8021 maybe?

I couldn't find when I looked earlier.

Forget that, found em.

According to this page the latest part number for cars built before 7th sept 2015 is 0CQ598554, and for cars built on or after that day 0CQ907554H. Might be safest to search the first of those numbers.

Hmm, I can see on OEMwolf.com, that the 0CQ907554D was superseded by the 0CQ598554 part number (as lll and 7zap both agree on), but neither of those numbers show (on oemwolf) as being superseded by 0CQ907554H.

skoda-parts.com which I've been using lately to find equivalences doesn't seem to know any of the numbers!

I wonder...

0CQ598554 is shown as a 'repair set' with the control unit plus two screws.

0CQ598554 is a kit which consists of 2 parts

  Part Quantity
1. Socket Head Bolt 2
2. Control Unit 1

Perhaps the control unit within that is the 0CQ907554H part, but for whatever reason on cars built before 7th Sept 2015 it needs a couple of screws to fit it, that the suffix-D part didn't??

Wild guess. :D

Google search on 0CQ598554 does show it as the control unit ?

My guesses aren't working out too well today.

I wonder if the mounting lugs on the controller have been lengthened for more reliability and that's why they include new bolts ??

Or the screws just rust like buggery? 😆
