Wiper noise

Featured Replies

I’ve had my Karoq 18 months now and it’s great except the wipers, front and rear, make a horrible scraping noise.

I booked it in for service with a Skoda dealer and asked the guy to investigate this. He said he had one too and experienced the same problem, which didn’t fill me with much confidence. I changed the blades about 9 months ago but no improvement.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Always been an issue with the skodas the rubber the wiper is made of isn't the best I would advise getting wipers from elsewhere rather than genuine ones and make sure to always use screenwash with water to prevent them wearing faster.

As above.

Replace the lot with some Bosch and be done with it.

As above. Also clean the screens once using precipitated chalk (from a pharmacist; be prepared to explain what you want it for), and never wash them with car shampoo.

Absolutely.  👍

I lasted a,whole two weeks before I replaced mine with Bosch ones😁

It's Bosch Aerotwin A864S for the UK vs. Bosch Aerotwin A863S for the Continent.

I clean my screen with white vinegar, gets rid of wax etc.
