Hi all,

Sorry for my bad english.

Before starting the car a wrench appears with number 1200.

What does it mean?

When I start the car both are disappear and everything just fine.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome.

The car thinks it is due a service and the service indicator reset.

?

When was it last serviced and the Service Indicator reset?

2 month ago was on oil change, before that i dont remember when was it serviced.

But just few days ago doing this.

Maybe that "24" is 24 days until the next service is due, so that means that the workshop that carried out your oil change did not reset the service indicator or that 24 days is until an inspection is due, probably the smart thing to do is to reset both service and inspection warnings when servicing the car - and carrying out any extra tasks that are required for the inspection.

Edit:- if the "24" changes to "23" after a day and so after another day, then that would confirm or disprove my suggestion. Similarly the "1200" will drop to a lower number of km once you have run 100 or 200kms.

You will find information like this and much else too in the 'Owner's Manual' if you do not have your paper printed copy you can still download a PDF version from the following link. - https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models

Unless you reset the Service Reminder Interval via the OBD, the car won't know it's had an oil change, so won't restart the counter.

OBD is unlikely to be required.

In 2008 they were not suitable for Variable servicing so the Service Indicator is for Fixed Service intervals.

372 days / 15,000 km.

There will be one of the several ways the owner can set that service indicator.

The hazard light way, or just button pressing or whatever.   Plenty threads here on resetting them.

Maybe this simple.

Regional difference can always be something that needs considering.

When they introduced the Mk2 as i understand it from what was actually happening they gave the cars a Fixed Service code and eventually changed it to Variable.

That was a while after VW, SEAT had been given the Variable servicing even though they had the same engines.

That is how things can happen, they learn as they go along, same with cam belt changes and other things.

Perhaps the OP can look at the service code on their boot floor sticker?
