I hope you don’t mind me asking - is this how it looks on the side mirrors with factory built blind spot assist as well? My test car didn’t have this feature so not exactly sure 😊

Yes, that's the factory look. On darker colored cars the light module blends really well with the mirror and won't be noticed except when activated 👌

After driving it home yesterday you don’t notice the module until it comes on.  I’m very happy with the upgrade!

This is exactly how the system would look and operate from the factory 🙂

 

 

I saw my car today before the handover on Wed and I was looking for an orange light but found black. My heart sank a bit, thought my worst fear had come true and it’s really missing, but hey, silly me, it only lights up orange when someone is in the spot 😁😊

Hello, 

besides the materials needed, what else will be needed to complete such a retrofit?

Will I need to purchase an FEC license or is it just a matter of coding etc.?

This is not a protected feature. Parts, wiring, coding/parameterisation

Is there a minimum pre-exisiting equipment level without which this wold not be be technically possible/economically viable?
