I have looked at a few car insurance reviews today and was horrified by what I found. I realise that one gets what one pays but can anyone say where one may find reliable car insuarance reviews?

The car is a 2004 Skoda Fabia Estate which does about 5000 miles a year.

The car use is social only.

The reason we are looking for an insurer is that we are fed up with fly by night amateur insurers.

You've posted this on a publicly viewable forum. 

 

Personal experience is Adrian Flux aren't particularly trustworthy either on policies or claims (some years ago, they put me down as at fault when someone drove into my trailer whilst I was stationary) I'm with swiftcover and have found them good to deal with, not had to claim with them though.

Thats a pretty dangerous statement to make especially as I have just looked at their reviews and they are quite good.

Here is a review.

You can try for quote for insurance for a vehicle, maybe a modified vehicle and some muppet on their phone lines is clueless.

Or you can get insurance with Adrian Flux and then when renewal comes up it is a ridiculous price.

 

But that is past experiences. Not darkened their door for maybe 6 years now because they were so bad to deal with. 

First Central are who I'm with now. Seem to be quite competitive with pricing.
