Comfort control module

Featured Replies

Can anyone enlighten me on location of the comfort control module. Its a 2016 sportline if any help. Heard it's under passenger carpet (RHD)but want to be sure before I start digging. This is following my earlier failure of the coloured ambient lighting

CCM' isnt a thing on Skoda/VW but the BCM, body control module is (just different terminology). It is located behind the glovebox to the left of the fuse box, 3 plugs going into it, 2 large, 1 small.

I was once a Passat b5.5 man, the ccm placement still gives me nightmares.

If you are asking because of anxiety, the scuttle area should still be cleaned on the Superb apprantly, but it’s even harder to get to because you need to remove the wipers 😬

I had an Audi A4 b7, same platform, same location, same fault. One morning my car was like a fish tank and the fuse box and ccm was under water.

luckily on the superb the scuttle drains are big holes, none of these rubber water drains that block up

Nightmare, mine was like a pond too but only issue I ever had was the alarm going off on all hours which turned out to be corroded grey connector in the passenger kick panel.

Why VW decided to use a foam gasket by the pollen filter I’ll never know

Glad to know the same issue isn’t present in the Superb 👍

Our MKI Superb also filled with water. Needed a new CCM, main wiring loom, parking sensor loom and 20 hours of labour to fix it. Ridiculously expensive. I also had the pollen filter housing fix done and plenums cleaned out at the same time. I also removed the stupid rubber drains. That was back in 2011. What a dumb design that was. She’s now with another Briskodian and still running fine.

My Scuttles are regularly checked and kept clear, no water ingress or anxiety about it. I have another issue and just checking that its now called BCM.

It was the drains in there which were the problem. Just run some water down the windscreen either side and check if it runs down onto the road straight away. If not the drains are blocked.
