Interior LED lights upgrade

Featured Replies

Hello! As the nights are getting darker I am looking to upgrade the interior lights to LED versions.

Has anyone attempted this before and can kindly recommend suitable bulbs please?

My previous 2018 Kodiaq SEL interior lights were led as standard as is my current 2022 Kodiaq Sportline .

My Kodiaq is 2017 model the interior lights are all yellow bulbs 😞 Seen a few replacement bulb on eBay but would prefer  recommendations for ones that work please.

I have tried this before on my 2018 se but didn’t have much joy. The bulbs I tried were great at lighting the interior of the car, but when the car was locked the bulbs wouldn’t fully go out, even after rechecking the car about 1.5 hours later they were still glowing dimly. Bulbs were canbus friendly but I just ended up putting the old bulbs back in. Not sure if the way round it is to change the full light unit for a LED unit, they are listed on eBay at the moment, just not sure if the connectors are the same.

I changed the boot lights over to LEDs (Bought off ebay) on my 2019 SEL.

The lights went off ok but during a journey, the interior lights came on briefly for no apparent reason. On another journey, the wipers did a sweep of their own accord (the wiper stalk was in the OFF position) so I changed the LEDs back over to OEM and nothing untoward since !

To me, the Bear had an allergic reaction to them !

I fitted these…

They come as a direct replacement and I’ve never had an issue with them.
