fabia 2008 service on time battery good

Morning first time quick start , when worm its takes long salves to start.

went to repair suggested 50% chance of starter motor

anyone has any similar issue pls share

To start with we need to know if it's a  petrol or diesel  model and the engine size and possibly the engine code as this will help as different models have different issues, would not think it's the starter to be honest as this usually shows up at a cold start

Could it be the injectors?  Any other information taken from a scan tool with engine running?   Do you do a lot of short or low speed journeys?  Is the 50% chance of starter motor a guess from someone or from any sort of diagnosis?

if the starter is spinning the engine it's working, if its spinning it slowly, it's the battery.

If its spinning the engine over ok, just won't fire, then I would be looking at the fuel pressure and probably the fuel pump.

The fuel is more viscous when cold so a worn pump can push it, when it's warm its more like water and a worn pump will struggle.
