8755 Software Update - Skoda Fabia 2019 Carplay Issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've recently purchased a used Skoda Fabia 2019 Monte Carlo, and when using Apple CarPlay, there is stuttering when playing music through it. After doing some digging online, it seems to be a firmware issue and I need the latest firmware update of 8755 or above to resolve this issue.

I was just wondering if anyone had the update file for this via SD card, or do you have to go to a dealer and pay?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @varooom,

I have SW version 8740, I've bought an android car wifi usb dongle and I can't get it work (it's supposed to work with recent Skoda cars). I thought that maybe updating my swing infotainment to last version 8755 it could work.

Software version is: MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P7381L and I'm using a french version.

Could you please send me version 8755?

If I install 8755 SW, does it change langage interface and does it keep FEC activated codes?

Many thanks,

I am not sure updating your software will make things just work I'm afraid.

I can send along the update and you can try of course.

Any factory stored FEC activated codes should remain afterwards.

Done

Hi!

Just a follow up:  it worked! Thanks a lot! I would like to give some heads up: after the first reboot I was asked to do some kind of diagnostic and I thought that I needed to wait, but I figured out that it was waiting for what I think was a usb connection to a diagnostic device, so I pressed cancel and after another reboot I was able to get my Smartlink fixed.

Thanks again!
