The Mk4 with matrix lights has a headlight setting in the main screen for Left Hand Driving or Right Hand Driving.  Alters the light pattern for Continental driving.

Is the beam really true right hand traffic driving beam (Z-beam, right hand side of the beam shining higher than the left hand side of the beam), or is it the UK beam dipped down and shifted to the right? I am hoping for the fomer, but that was the problem with previous gen AFS lights. Flat beam/no kick-up would also be OK..

Would it be possible for you to post a picture of lights shining at a wall 5m-10m from the car, with lights sent to Continental driving? It would be much appreciated, as it is very hard to get reliable info on this otherwise. Just because there is a change in the beam, it does not mean it is a correct beam, my MK3 octavia AFS HIDs being prime example with bodged road illumination on Continental beam setting.

  • Picked the car up yesterday, pleased with the colour!

  • Probably a gamble to catch the last of the old school buyers. There's not many cars left these days like the Octavia/Superb and especially as a Combi.   Everyone is pushing the SuV rout

Will try to post photos. Will be 3 weeks time as I am on holiday from Monday.

Is the 4x4 drivetrain in the L&K true 4x4 or really AWD?

It’s a FWD with Haldex rear drive on demand

Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted in the past.. Kindly please, can anyone say what type of DSG (model number) is fitted in Skoda Superb Mk4 - 2.0 TDI (143 kW) 4x4? Some say it's the wet dual clutch for AWD (DQ381-7A), some others say it's a new dry clutch gearbox.

Thanks in advance!

Dq381

So then it's a "wet" DSG (btw, that's totally opposite to what my dealer said :p). Thank you!

Oh, maybe the dealer was doing a confusion between TDIs and TSIs... does the 2.0 TSI version has a "dry" DSG?

Thanks again!

Only version which has dry clutch is 1.5tsi

anyway any clutch is good if you care about it.

Right. Thanks a lot, @bazy!
