  • Hi Keith, Yes I did!!! So a RS3 LPFP fuel basket drops straight in and all you need to do source the wiring harness from the states.  There is no coding needed!   Its the best solution for i

I've owned my 2018 Superb 280 L&K from new, and I thought about changing it last year, but there was nothing I fancied (in my price range).   Since I love the car, I decided to stick wit

  • Stock LPFP will do up to 500bhp with ease. I was running 540bhp with meth on it with no issue. I think it would probably max out at between 530-550bhp with no meth and about 580bhp with meth.

I think it resonable priced and it looks like it will connect to the standard valves. You could probably get something cheaper on Aliexpress but you will have to use aftermarket exhaust valves.

I have a custom exhaust with Helical exhaust valves which use basic remotes. I do like the ability of being able to adjust the valve position as then you can set it to not having it fully open and being too loud.

Finally, I managed to connect the pump; it is indeed plug and play. The connector on the pump side had the pink tab inside slightly misaligned; I put it back in place. Now everything is in order, the pump works well. I have an appointment with the tuner Fredautosport in a few days for the configuration. So, I have a VWR R600 intake, large volume inlet & outlet turbo, GFB DV+ dump valve, Autotech kit on HPFP, EQT RS3 type brushless LPFP. The next modifications are a Wagner Tuning downpipe and intercooler. I found a downpipe reference; what do you think, Awesam?

Cheaper than supersprint 800+ euros

Thanks for your help

Which turbo are you going to be using? Also have you got a 6 speed or 7 speed?

For the downpipe, are you planning to use a decat one? the one in the link looks decent. However the one I would recommend is this one as the craftmanship is amazing

Supersprint items are stupidly overpriced, which annoys me so much!

Any new updates @HGFRENCH ? How tuning ended up?

Des nouvelles mises à jour@HGFRENCHComment s'est terminé le réglage ?

Hello everyone, so I asked Fredautosport, a well-known tuner in France, for a Stage 1 flex-fuel E85 tune + TCU Tune. So, in the end, on my Superb, I have an EQT RS3-type low-pressure fuel pump, 980cc MPI injectors, RS3 8V5 FSI injectors, the original high-pressure fuel pump with an Autotech kit, a reinforced GFB DV+ dump valve, and a VWR R600 intake. Everything is working well for the moment, however, I have a problem with the DSG6 transmission because under full WOT (Working On Throttle) I'm experiencing jerking during gear changes that I didn't have before with the original map. I mentioned it to him, and apparently they didn't change anything but only noted the maximum torque values for the gearbox. I'm supposed to see them again in early 2026.

Here's the message I sent to him:

Hello Lionel,

For the E85 flex-fuel engine mapping, everything is perfect so far.

However, on the DQ250 DSG6, I'm experiencing jerking during gear changes under full load.

It seems like the clutch pressure builds up too quickly or the shift time is a bit short.

Could you slightly smooth out the K1/K2 engagement ramp and lengthen the WOT transition time a little?

Before the remap, it was very smooth, so I think it's just a minor calibration adjustment.

Best regards,

Hichem

Does this happen in Auto and Manual mode?
It could be it pulls timing in Auto, so you feel jerk.

Looking at your graph I do not know why you replaced so many things for such a low power.
You could run that power with Stage 1 alone, on gasoline.

For such power I would opt for intercooler and downpipe instead of LPFP and HPFP mods, more reliable power.
And you would be also able to run E85, I think (I am not sure) there is enough fuel with stock pumps to run E85 to 400hp (crank) or even little bit more.

You did both mods which is sufficient for 550+ hp

I am on stock fueling (stock LPFP, MPI, HPFP) with do88 intercooler, Milltek 200 cell downpipe and PowerMax Stage 1.
Not yet measured but from my assumptions it is 460+ hp.

I run Stage1 (ECU+TCU) without any mods with 350hp and 480nm for years without any other mod.

Hello, I wanted top-notch reliability with 100% E85 ethanol and a power increase. My car has 170,000 km on it, so I wanted to start fresh with a new LPFP pump and new MPI/FSI injectors. Since I have the Autotech high-pressure kit in my high-pressure pump, the tuner informed me that there was a risk of damaging an FSI injector with this higher pressure. Regarding the gearbox, the jerks are less pronounced in manual mode, almost nonexistent. I also have another problem: when I'm really under full load, at 7000 rpm, the power can suddenly drop as if I had stopped accelerating abruptly. It seems like a safety feature is preventing the gear change. The tuner replied to my email:

Fredautosport answer to my mail :

Hello and best wishes. I spoke with the mapper who suggested tweaking and slightly reducing the power to eliminate this effect.

Otherwise, the best solution is to do a Stage 3 TVS upgrade, but it's expensive. I don't have the latest prices, but it's around €1000, and with that you get a 100% personalized map; you can adjust absolutely everything to your liking.

I am at 216.000km 🤣

I have replaced mpi and di injectors and hpfp.

They were good, but like you wanted to be fresh.

If di injectors are under risk, then using hpfp insert is still exosting problem. They usually push 220 bar and they stress injectors more.

Lpfp + 980 mpi is safer bet, even with stock hpfp.

Hpfp inserts can make a problem using with e85 as regular gasoline lubricates pump. Some people had problem with Autotech. Less with Vis.

Not sure why they need to lower down power, it is already low, or better saying not high.

I guess in manual you have faster shifting time then in auto, so you do not feel jerk.

You would be able to see this with proper logging device.

My tuning is done remotely with Simos tools. Tuner is in UK.

No power cuts and with bigger turbo and power/torque.

For reference I would say mime is of the fastest Pmax Superbs, did not saw faster one on gas. 100-200km/h 8.65s

With previous tuner I had cuts.

If you nuy Simos tools dongle, useful for fast speed logging, dtc check, erase,... you could buy tcu map online and flash it to your car for 200-300e. And dongle is 70e with shipping.

I can send you links.

Thank you very much, I would really appreciate having the links. Currently, the power I have suits me fine, and with the RS3 FSI injectors, 980cc MPI, Autotech HPFP, and RS3 LPFP, it's oversized and therefore durable. The only problem is the gearbox; that's the only thing I want to fix now. With your solution, can I find TCU maps from TVS Engineering? Thank you.

Not from tvs, but from other tuners makimg their own map. This platform is old enough that there are no secrets anymore. Tvs has the name, but still I know some people that have problem with tvs, similar as yours.

For this kind of power Stage 1 tcu is enough.

And other features included like no downshift in manual on kickdown, no automatic upshift, faster launch, faster gearchanges,...

I will send you links in pm, not sure if it is allowed here.

Btw I think rs3 di inkectors are same as ours. Do you have ref number of rs3 inj?

Hello my reference is 07K906036N RS3 8V5 FSI injectors

Doubt there will much difference to the standard injector as the parts number is 06K906036N or 06L906036

As I see, 06K...N is fot 272 engine, as well as R, TTS,...

06L...AH last revision is for 206kw CJXA and there is bosch replacement for that one.

Akstuning:

"These injectors are the part number from GPF (Gas Particulate Filter) models but will work in all 2.0 EA888 MQB platforms and offer a slightly higher flow rate over the non GPF original part numbers."

For most of the VW group parts the first digits denotes the car model i.e. 3V0 is Skoda superb or Golf R 06L or 5Q0 , then in most cases the remaining part number is the same across the mqb range

I know, but 206kw injectors starting witk K ends to AH as last revision.

And there is 06K for 200kw, first revision K, second and last revision N.

Is it worth looking at ea888.4 injectors? I’m sure the golf 8 r guys run big numbers on standard fuelling

I do not know if they will fit, but 8R hpfp is pushing up to 350 bar, so different pump to.

Did not saw anybody did this.

Lpfp is also different, more flow, I think same as rs3 one.

I'm running over 600bhp on standard injectors, no issues. I have uprated the Hpfp and Lpfp along getting larger 980cc mpi's to help
