Have just updated SatNav (Amundson) in Karoq (2018).

The system seems to work Ok, except that whilst it has remembered my destinations, it appears to have forgotten the directions. ie a destination in Bristol is being shown as in Cheltenham.

I thought that having wiped and reloaded the SD card, that it should have not remembered anything, but "destinations" shows the list as they were before, it just appears that the system does not know where these destinations actually are.

Is this something I should have considered before doing the update?

The destinations are stored inside the infotainment unit rather than the card. Either that file has got corrupted or the sat nav has lost its GPS location. You do hear of that. A long press on the on/off button to force a reboot of the unit if the program has taken a wander out of memory. Fixes most things. Given you posted that on Sunday it might have achieved a reboot by now. Failing that a visit to a dealer. The green menu is suppose to tell you stuff about the GPS location. These units do lock onto a lot of satellites. That can be shown on the normal screen. Suspect it just needs a reboot.
