Hi can anybody clear something up for me please l have a 2019 octavia 1.0 tsi manual mileage is 36985 full service history.My question is my timing belt is it due to be changed I’m getting mixed messages l thought it was 140k or 5 years when it was to be changed. But I’m being told it’s not due as the mileage isn’t 140k as Skoda have changed the intervals of belt changed anybody got an idea.

140k or 5 years according to Skoda.  

(whichever comes first....and in your case....its time for a belt change)

Hi this is the problem l have my local Skoda dealer is telling me it’s 140k miles or 10 years whatever comes first but they would recommend it being done around 120k miles but most people are saying it’s still the 5 years period confused .com 

Most people are out of date with what Skoda UK are now recommending.

Would expect forum regulars to know though, loads of recent threads on the subject.

Skoda main, 120.000 miles.... Asked the same question to them.... Better made parts etc.. Etc... 

2017 oct mk3 with 70 onit... Saying to me waste of money.... 

VAG UK were pretty much the only market in the world sticking to the 5 year thing. They've now dropped it and raised the mileage to 140k. I'll be doing mine before 100k.
