Kamiq MY2024 airbag problem

Featured Replies

Hello friends, my newly purchased Kamiq 2024 constantly gives an airbag warning in my vehicle. The dealer I bought it from deletes the error, and then this warning appears again at random times. Is there a software update? Thanks.

Kamiq Elite 1.0 TSI DSG

Release version: MEI3_EU_SKMQB_P480OJ

Software version: 0480

I have the same issue. 3-week after I bought new Kamiq I have got an airbag error. Today I'm going to Skoda service.

In both cases it might just be an intermittent wiring problem, that is unless there is a known S/W issue with these cars.

They also replaced the sensor on the front right passenger seat and checked the wiring, but the error continues to appear.

What action did the service follow?

So the source of this problem, probably after scanning the car, was found to be a seat sensor.

Yes, exactly. It was the seat sensor. Next week on Thursday I'm going to replace it. We will see if it helps.

Called for service about a week ago. He said that there was an update regarding the vehicle's airbag warning. I made an update. I have not encountered a warning since that day. This update is also valid for scala tools. I saw that nothing had changed in the software version of the vehicle. Your information

It's a software issue, there is an open service campaign item 69VL open for it, released 28 Jun 2024

For several Škoda models (Scala, Kamiq), from a limited production period, there is a risk of displaying an incorrect
yellow indicator light about an airbag malfunction. When the passenger seat is occupied, the sensor evaluates an invalid
signal.

I benefited from the voluntary recall program shared by Skoda. You can check the voluntary recall page by chassis number in whichever country you live. This kind of information was shared about the process done for my vehicle.
