Circle K are promoting BIO fuel for a week.  I run a 2016 model, any reason not to give it a go?

I can only find an article regarding Volkswagen group for Euro 6 vehicles onwards from June 2021?

My 2016 Owners Manual (pages 162,163), under Diesel Fuel

"The vehicle can only be operated with diesel fuel that meets the EN 590 standard"

"All diesel engines can be operated using diesel fuel with at most 7% biodiesel (B7)"

 

"The vehicle cannot be operated with biofuel RME, therefore this fuel must not be refuelled and driven"

"I would check with the Dealer."

Past experiences of some members on this forum with their dealers and VW's unfortunate recent history with diesels would make me nervous about being an early adopter but if you think it's worth a go I would try and get something in writing from Skoda UK. At least then if something goes wrong you have the evidence for a potential claim. As VW/Skoda are not listed as manufacturers who have approved the use I'd be cautious.  

You're not going to get much in writing from a dealer, and even if you did, you would have zero comeback with an 8 year old car.

 

I wouldn't bother.

I remember Audi (in Germany) giving lots of warnings about bio diesel when used cooking oil was becoming a thing. I'm sure the current stuff is less of a risk, but you just don't know the impact of regular use ?

I have the same engine, probably the same year but I cant be sure as you have not stated yours.

 

Look inside your fuel filler flap,  half the area is taken up by a warning in huge bold capitals to not use Bio-Diesel, the words "Bio-Diesel" are enclosed within a great big red warning symbol like a road sign!!!!!!!!!
