Featured Replies

Went out for a blast round cardiff tonight, pulled back into the hotel car park and spotted this beasty, so parked the octy up near it and snapped a couple of pics with the phone (hence grainy quality)

Not the lairy GT-R but certainly looks the part in the flesh

I quite like that - obviously an import. Does look quite like the 350Z side on, strangely!

I'd imagine the GT-R will be something special :D

:iagree: , but any ideas as to why it's on a '52' plate and a not particularly interesting one at that

Thats a V35 Skyline and shares a platform with the 350z

They have been around for a couple of years now

see one of these on occasion around Brum...

i'd rather have fluffmeisters VRS , sorry about that , if it was a GTR then i may be tempted

Yea they have been out for ages, nice but i think id rather have the 350Z

The full fat GT-R doesn't appear in Japan until 2007, then it goes on sale in USA and Canada in 2008. No plans to sell it in the UK sadly:thumbdwn:

Nissan USA

That's gonna be some machine, hope it lives up to the last one. Likely to be a genuine technical tour de force, if the last one was anything to go by.

Seems a shame they're not planning to offer it in the UK, especially as the Jap spec ones will already be right-hand drive. Thought the UK might have been a reasonably lucrative market for previous versions?

Steve

If there's enough pressure and demand from the UK customer base, I reckon Nissan UK may well do some official importing of the GT-R. This is what happened with the Mitsubishi EVO, it wasn't officially sold in the UK by Mitsubishi Japan, but it was officially imported by Mitsubishi UK, if you see what I mean...

From the title of this thread I thought it was for me

Absolutely, see where you're coming from - could see that happening

Theres a new Vantage parked next to the Octy now, seems to attract nice cars :-)

Will snap pic's (to save confusing elvish lady briskodians) tomorrow if it's still there.

Nissan imported about 35 R34 GTR's when they were new so lets hope they do the same as a minimum other wise people like Newera and ASI imports will be come busy when they are avalibale in Japan

First time I've sene one of those. I think it looks a lot like the Z - even the wheels appear to be the same as non-GT Z's.

I don't like the look of it personally.

Nissan will be launching the Infiniti Brand in the UK & Europe within about 2 years.

Infiniti is Nissans 'Prestige' brand in the USA. (Infiniti is to Nissan as Lexus is to Toyota).

See here Autocar Nissan-Infiniti

It's almost certain that the G35 (aka Skyline) coupe will be one of the models officially available. Whether or not the GT-R version will be one of those isn't yet known.
