This mechanism is draining my battery, does anyone know what it is?

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been having issues with my battery where it gets drained even whilst car is turned off. More than 8 hours and it fully drains. It's a brand new battery and I noticed every time I park I could hear this noise from underneath the car. I can't figure out what it could be and why it happens and only when the car is turned off. When I unlock the car with the button it stops straight away.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please and appreciated in advance

Your video doesn't work. It just says "No video with supported format and MIME type found."

@Mori17 Welcome to the forum.

How about saying what engine and gearbox your car has, and how long you have had it or when this started?

Was it OK for how long, & then at some point the battery started going flat?

I can hear the sound, but really it would need recording for a lot longer to separate the "movements" noises from what you are worried about.

The car is the Fábia MK2, tsi 1.2, manual. It has been an issue for a while now, it then stops making the noise, then a week or so it comes again and the battery starts to get flat. I have to take the negative out every time I will park for log hours.
