Kodiaq iv (2024) - Departure planner

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just got delivery of a new 2024 Kodiaq iv. All good but there doesn't seem to be a departure planner (for setting charging times) in the Skoda Connect App.

I had a Superb iv before this and it had this functionality within the app and on the Infotainment screen. Anyone know how I can find/activate it - seems strange its not available?

Have the exact same issue. There is reference in the printed owners manual to it.

In the Section on “What affects the electric range” in “High voltage system”, it refers to “set up delayed charging with interior preheating >page 129” but when you go to the page in question (129) there is no details on this.

I wonder did they not get this sorted before these early-ish production cars were built. Our Volvo XC60 PHEV did not have this functionality initially also, but we got an over the air software upgrade which added it a few months later. Hope Škoda do something similar here.

It's a huge omission by Skoda and I probably wouldn't have ordered the car if I had known. It's going to cost me a lot as my electricity from 2am - 5am is 70% cheaper than the day time rate. My wall charger isn't programmable.

The best thing we can do is get in touch with Skoda support and put pressure on them to add it in a software update - the more noise people make online about this the better the chances are of getting it added. I've already called them about this and I'm waiting for a response.

My concern is that Skoda don't have a history of adding functionality like this in software updates, they usually just fix bugs.

Fingers crossed.

We’re in exactly the same position with cost.

A workaround is to plug the car in, stop the charging in the app and stay up until 2am and start the charging again. 😂

Found this on their website.

Yes Dave this is the workaround that I use on my new Kodiaq iV, my cheap rate with Octopus is from 00.30 to 05.30, its not too much of an hassle switching on from my bed at 00.30 but its good to hear that Skoda is addressing the issue soon (I usually have a couple of toilet trips a night anyway 😢)

Update from Skoda, Departure Planner will not be coming until the end of the year.

Thanks DaveSuperb for the update. Jim

Anyone know if the Stationary air conditioning function is going to be updated as well?

I have my car on the charger during the night and if I want it warm it suckes the power from the battery and the red light is on the charging port. The message on the dash says that the battery could not be charged to full and to look at the manual.

I have no clue why it is not taking the power from the charger for this.

The update is to fix the issues with assisted systems?

That is what they said.

Any know if it’s an OTA (over the air) update or requires a dealer visit?

From my information but don't know if it's true it is a dealer visit.

Yes its a dealer visit, they contacted me yesterday and and told me my Kodiaq is on a recall, assist systems have not worked for a couple of weeks, they want it the full day, earliest I can have a curtesy cay is January 13th so its booked in for then

Hi guys, all my assist systems shut down one by one tonight coming off the m3. Car drove ok to home but obviously all the assist were off including hill assist and esc and no recuperation with revs limited to 3k. Turned ignition off and one when I got home and the 10 warning engine sound”.

Is this the same as others have had and is that software update to sort? Only had the car 3 weeks and only just done 500 miles, gonna phone assist tomorrow as took pictures of all warnings

Seems to be the same issue everyone is having. My dealer was able to do a quick fix to get the assisted systems working again and its been fine for a month. I’m not sure if Skoda have released the update or if it will be over the air.

Still no Departure Planner from Skoda, they said it would be released in December so they still have time 😉.

Has anyone heard any updates on the assisted systems?

An update on Departure Planner for the Kodiaq iv from Skoda, the wait continues, starting to regret buying this car.

After the second week in March

Not by second week, that's rather open ended

If you are regretting buying it, then list all the features that were advertised but aren't there, say they aren't able to rectify within reasonable time, and reject it.   If you see a card machine on sales desk, point at it, offer your keys and debit card and ask for the refund to the card.  It usually wakes them up you are serious.
Remember your contract is under consumer law with dealership (and under consumer law you can return faulty goods).   Dealers have a completely unrelated commercial contract with Skoda UK, so don't accept waffle your rejection depends on Skoda UK, it doesn't (you have no contract with Skoda UK).  Dealers can follow under their commercial contract in their own time afterwards

Assuming that you bought and paid for the car with your money or borrowed money and it is not leased / rented on the never never.
