Wireless charger cooling

Featured Replies

Do you know if Karoq has cooling in the wireless charging space like Kodiaq does?

I saw that there is (I guess) a hidden cooling fan in the new Kodiaq behind the wireless charging area.

I've not noticed anything in our 2024 model other than my iphone gets worryingly hot whilst wireless charging in the little drawer and running Waze........

Can you put a non-wireless charging phone in there without it overheating? Don't expect it to charge but it is a useful space to put the phone.

Yes you can. My father's phone has a leather flip cover which prevents it from charging wirelessly and he places it there while driving without any problem such as overheating.

If I put my 2016 iphone7 in the wireless cubbyhole it immediately turns on the Apple Wallet payment option!

That is not good!  You need to sort out the settings on the phone.

Nice ruse on the part of Skoda - turning on the Apple Wallet payment option automatically.

Charging you to import (if only temporarily) your phone to the car now, are they?

I don't think Škoda, or anyone else, can turn it on for you.
