Cedwing,
Is your car the 265PS or the 204PS version of the 2.0L TSI?

I noticed a small note on the configurator that says "Remote Park Assist not available on 2.0 TSI 204PS engine" which would be a shame, so I thought I'd ask the question.

@Smudgers It’s the 265. The 204 wasn’t available back in July when I ordered sadly.

Thanks

Picked up the 190 TDI 4x4 back in September. Was advised this would be a future feature but as yet nothing in the new Version 8.0.0  app.

It is a little disappointing if this is not a feature that can be applied considering the trained parking is already a feature.

UPDATE!!!

As per previous post I purchased the L&K 4x4 tdi 4x4 back in September.

Remote Trained Parking – Only for Later Superb Builds (Despite What It Sounds Like)

Just a heads-up for anyone with a new Superb who’s been following Škoda’s media releases since the launch of the Superb . The wording in their promo material suggests that Remote Trained Parking will become available “at a later date” via the MyŠkoda app — so I naturally assumed this meant it was just an upcoming app/software update.

Intelligent Park Assist makes parking safer and easier
With the new optional Intelligent Park Assist, the Superb can park automatically in perpendicular and parallel parking spaces. This function now controls the steering, brakes, accelerator, and direction of travel (forward and reverse). The vehicle also stops on its own if the system recognises an obstacle. At a later date, it will be possible to perform parking manoeuvres remotely, using the Remote Park Assist function via the MyŠkoda app. The optional Remote Trained Parking will enable drivers to initiate a previously performed and saved parking manoeuvre from outside the vehicle, using the MyŠkoda app on their smartphone within a range of four metres. The maximum speed of the manoeuvre is 6 mph (9.5 km/h). The new Superb also features enhanced Trailer Assist as an option.

My car already has Trained Parking built in — it works from inside the car, as expected. But when I saw someone post here saying they had Remote Trained Parking working, I reached out to:

  • My dealer, who told me it wasn’t available yet.

  • Škoda customer service, multiple times, who couldn’t confirm or deny anything.

  • And finally Škoda’s executive office, who confirmed that this feature is only available on later builds

So basically, if you already have Trained Parking, don’t assume you’ll get Remote Trained Parking via app update. Škoda hasn’t been clear about this, and the media wording is definitely misleading.

If you’re buying a new model soon and want this feature, make sure the dealership confirms it’s enabled.

Cedwing, we collected our cars about the same time in Dec 2024 but I do not have the Remote Parking on my app. The lowest option on the Car page is remote heating. I have the PHEV ut why should that make a difference.

It only came in on the Model Year 2025. The other obvious change is the steering wheel. The steering wheel changed from round logo to the Skoda word mark at the same time.

Also you can look at 10th character in the VIN - R = 2024 model year, S = 2025 model year. They started building MY 2025 soemtime at the end of November.

The tenth letter in my VIN. Is S but my steering wheel logo is the Skoda arrow. My build was 14 November 2024.

Mine was built the 26th of November and had the new style wordmark on the steering wheel.

Skoda only added Remote Park Assist from week 44 builds onward, yet the price remains the same.

Basically, if your car rolled off the line at 11:59 PM on Sunday of week 43, no fancy parking tech for you. But if it was built at 12:01 AM on Monday of week 44, congratulations, you get Remote Park Assist. Same car, same trim, same price, different spec, just because of timing.

It looks like Skoda rolled out a production update starting in week 44, likely involving new hardware and a software tweak. So while the cars look identical on the outside, there’s a real spec difference under the surface, all based on which side of midnight your build landed on.

This probably also explains the steering wheel design change and the VIN ending in "S" — subtle signs of that production shift.

Personally, I don’t see much use for Remote Park Assist myself, other than for squeezing into a sardine-sized space or a narrow garage, and having converted my garage, that’s a non-issue.

But still, the L&K is supposed to be Skoda’s flagship, marketed as a premium alternative with matrix LEDs, digital cockpit, massage seats, premium sound, and more. So missing a standout feature like this for customers who could benefit, even by just a week, feels like a misstep, especially when the price didn’t change and it’s still part of the same Gen 4 launch wave.

Interesting, Thanks Scott. OK. Practically Remote Park is of little use but I still feel aggrieved that I bought what I considered the flagship model only to find I am one lifeboat short. Apart from not having a means to charge as I am driving as I had with my previous Citroen 5X I am loving every feature of the Superb estate.

If it makes you feel any better, my car comes equipped with the remote park assist and I've only used it once. It constantly fails and backs out of the maneuvers. Fine for a party trick but it's not that useful.
