06 Fabia VRS MAP sensor problem?

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently got a 2006 Fabia VRS, outstanding service history and the only modification is the EGR and EGR cooler removed with the kit from Darkside. It seemed fine until recently I lost power on my way to work, car still drove but like it had no turbo. The power has now returned so possibly an intermittent issue. I checked the MAF sensor by unplugging whilst running and car remained the same so I replaced it but still runs exactly the same wether plugged in or not. Does this suggest a potential MAP sensor issue?

Many thanks in advance

No, the MAP sensor almost never gives any trouble, you need to read the fault codes and post them here otherwise you're just firing parts at it needlessly as you've just discovered.

@sepulchrave the codes are a throttle position sensor on the pedal and EGR which I’m planning on getting mapped out.
