DTUK peddle box

Featured Replies

Looking at a peddle box second hand which was fitted to an Enyaq, any one know if this will work on my mk3 superb?

Doubt it would be that transferable but it’s only effectively a signal amplifier so perhaps the amplification setup is the same and they’re very transferable etc

Only way to be sure would be to email them and ask 👍🏼

I emailed them they asked for proof of purchase but told them it’s from a forum member then they didn’t reply, not surprised as they will want me to purchase new

I have a box on my Passat. Previously had it fitted to my Octavia TDI. Before that bit was fitted to a golf gtd. I'd say there's a high chance it will fit but with the enyaq being leccy it might have a different plug. Maybe get a pic of the plugs and compare to others on eBay?

Ask for a photo of the connector that goes into your pedal, and compare with yours, at least your get the "hardware" part sorted out.

It is simply a matter to lay down close to the pedal and you will spot easily the connector, above the pedal itself.

There is a red tab that needs to be pulled, in order for the connector to be detached.

Now I love to add always some tips:

  • it pays to do it when the car is clean inside, as you need to dwell around the feet area 😁

  • depending on your physical shape and dexterity, you might need to employ the "kneel before Zod" position, in that case, it pays to have ALSO the outside of the car clean, as you will hover around the sills area, which notoriously attract ... dirt. Except on JR's Gandalf, of course

  • if you struggle with the red tab, which for some reason someone thought it was a connector with such high stresses that needed double locking, use a small screwdriver. Be gentle as there pieces, while immensedly strong when locked, are fragile and brittle.

  • Except the screwdriver, I've done all of the above, especially getting dirty mistiming when to play around with the pesky connector. Have a rag or a towel if your needs don't like bare concrete. How I like to play with cars ... 😄🙃

Now for the uninitiated:

Kneel before Zod

JR's Gandalf, with its special "antidirt/antidust" coating, a secret he won't reveal 😄

Nuts that they won’t entertain any queries - as if customers won’t sell their stuff on 🤷🏻‍♂️

For me, Donald Duck them and buy from a competitor anyway. Racechip have 25% off code that runs out today if you want it.

I was looking at DTE systems as they are £60 cheaper, never thought of racechip

@leolito - lol, love ur great words of advice there!!

Speaking of sills, my door sills r illuminated - so I need to take extra care, even though they're solid and durable.

😲

that means the art of 'levitation' to enter/exit the car and also telekinesis to operate its commands??

say it, it was Gandalf himself who owned the car before and left all those spells on it, then? 😁

Sorry to distract the topic, I am having a bad period and this eases my mind....

@Sharkeyboy

the connector in the photo is very similar, but I am not sure 100% is the same. In a couple of hours I will be around where my car is, I will kneel 😁 and see if I can make a photo of it has to look like.

Hi mate, sorry to hijack this but I have a 272 and am interested in a pedal box. (Possibly yours if you’ve still got it?) Are you getting rid because of a new car or because you didn’t like it? Cheers

IMHO, there is nothing not to like about a pedal box, regardless of brand. At the very least, it gets rid of the excessive travel in the stock throttle pedal.

You should report the pedal box to your insurer, though.
