AAWireless is the one to get if u want trouble free use.

Registered just to ask this very question, I presume the full AA works wireless with this adapter?

Most definitely.

Couldn't b any easier and no lag.

I bought one of these a couple of months ago. It works perfectly on iOS and Android.

Another vote for AAWireless, it works flawlessly in 2 cars.

Another vote for AAWireless. Works perfectly in my 2016 Superb.

£54 vs £13 for another which also works flawlessly? Y’ pays y’ money, I guess, but I don’t like wasting mine.

EDIT - there are discounts available on Ali too. I paid £8 for mine!

Don't suppose you have a link for one? Goggling seems to offer a few different versions and I've come across an AAWireless 2 on amazon

AAWireless2 is the latest version, which is replacing AAWireless.

U can get it from Amazon or from the manufacturer directly.

AAWireless | Wireless Android Auto Adapter

AAWireless is the world’s first and leading wireless Android Auto dongle. ✓ Works out of the box. ✓ Comes with free companion app. ✓ Connects automatically after setup.

I also went for AAWireless (version 2). It's worked flawlessly in a 2018 Superb, so can highly recommend.

Thanks for the help, I ordered the second version direct and should have it tomorrow

This one worked for me flawlessly since I bought it almost a year ago.

Like me, you’ve wasted your time there @balazs955. Also the ones we’ve suggested work on both Android and iOS so if I move away from iOS in the future (probable) it’ll still work. As I’ve already said, one pays ones money and makes ones choice. However, if the AAWireless units provide more facilities than those adapters we’ve suggested, that could be a reason for the 500% price differential I guess, but in my case, it appears to mirror in exactly the same way wirelessly as it did when the phone was connected via a cable.

I suspect that there may be more recommendations for aawireless as its been available for longer, I got my initial unit in '21 and still use it daily.

As you say it's very adaptable (removing the click limit and altering dpi is great) and in the early days the dev was great at resolving issues with different oem quirks.  Of course the last point is moot as we all have Superbs here.

They were also adding ios support but I've not looked into that as I've always been with the green robot.

My hunch is that the issue is the lottery that is alibaba, like most I've had some great stuff and some utter garbage.

Where we can buy the aawireless worldwide? The official site doesnt ship to my country and i search for website that does...

I'm not having great success with AAWireless. Played great at first then lots of stuttering. Troubleshooting suggested enabling pass through which was no help.

Support suggested the audio stutter fix but none of them fix it either

Ive been having issues with my AAWireless, it stopped connecting so then i had to get onto the support team and who told me to put it onto the passthrough mode. It did start working and but takes a good few tries to load up/connect with the headunit.

Forgot to mention I have the second version

  • 2 weeks later...

AAWireless support suggested some anti buffer setting and then to try a different cable. Nothing worked and they literally said they had no other support and asked what did I want to do.

At this stage I think I'll return it and just live with the wire

That's a shame.

Sorry to hear AAWireless2 was not working out for u. Must something off with ur phone and infotainment combo.

Out of curiosity, do u have an MIB3 unit?

I've always been a bit cautious about plugging random dongles into my car. Plus, the one in my girlfriends car is absolutely useless.

My aim of using a wireless adapter was to ditch the cable that went from my centre console/shifter USB port, to the glove box. Obviously, this meant that I needed something USB stick sized, as having a larger adapter on a cable would defeat the object. I still keep my phone in the glove box, out of sight and mind, but now there's no more cable.

I bought a QuadLock adapter last week. Digging into it a little, it's a rebranded version from a reasonably respected company called Ottocast. The price is about in line with Ottocast stuff, and I liked that the QuadLock version had been certified/tested again for the UK market.

I've run it for a week and have zero complaints. I did a four or five hour drive, and it didn't go wrong once. The quality is the same as before, and there was no overheating, dropping out or anything. I get into the car, and it connects - I'm using CarPlay with MIB2.5, but it's had goof reviews for Android Auto too.

Can't complain. You get a little right angle USB-A to USB-A adapter, as well as a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box. I wasn't able to use the right angle adapter, but it's small enough that I have no complaints.

my AAWireless adaptor sits perfectly, directly over the USB port in the phone-box compartment. it is out of sight with no cables dangling.
the lid closes too, with no obstructions.

if i need to put my phone on charge, i can use the phone-box wireless charger, or plug it into a wired charger inside my armrest storage compartment, where power is sourced from the rear passenger 12v.

I wonder if that is an issue? I have mine in the box under the armrest using the supplied cable. I'm sure i have a short USB-C - USB-C cable somewhere to try the port beside the charging tray.

For clarity, I have a regular USB port under the armrest and a USB-C in the charging tray.

I'm not sure how to check. Is it in the installer menu? My phone is a Samsung S23 FE so shouldn't be an issue with it
