'24/'25 infortainment, Samsung & wireless Android Auto

Featured Replies

Morning all,

We swapped our '20 Superb Estate IV L&K for a '24 Octavia RS IV a few weeks ago (long story) and noticed that our Samsung handsets wouldn't activate Android Auto wirelessly (via USB does work).

We took it back to the dealer and - after extensive research - they informed us that Skoda and Samsung have a known issue with Samsung handsets and some 2024/25 infotainment systems.

We've been assured that this is being worked on, but in the meantime we've forked over the cash for the Navigation update. Attempts to get the dealer to compensate this (even in part) have been met with stony silence. Attempts to find out from Skoda support if it's possible to disable android auto wireless completely (since the system still pops up a prompt) have been met with suggestions to try a different handset or contact the dealer - the usual completely, utterly useless support from VAG.

Side note: I tried to call the support team, but they have a shiny new bot that is completely impossible to get past.
