Option to enable/disable dynamic LED rear indicators.

Featured Replies

On my Superb 3 FL 2019 (MY 2020), I have the full LED rear lights, and I used to have an option in the infotainment menu to switch the rear indicators between dynamic and static. I don’t know what happened, but I’ve noticed that this option is no longer in the menu.

Can anyone help or send a photo showing whether you still have this option in your menu? Thanks.

I've not seen this option on mine. I have the same model/year as you.

Out of curiosity is there a version with dynamic indicators in the front headlights or am I dreaming?

No front but rear. I have Matrix light in front.

Nothing in the digital manual - not seen anything from memory either.

Maybe a silly question - you’re definitely thinking of dynamic indicators and not convenience turn signal?

If it was and not anymore it must be something they’ve decided to remove as no point having the option when not deemed important.

Given the DRL on/off can be added to the menu, I guess there’s a chance it can be put back in using VCDS on the long coding perhaps.

Yes I thinking of dynamic indicators. I have the “convenience (comfort) turn signals” option in the menu — that’s the one where the indicators blink three times when I just tap the stalk. But I also used to have an option to turn off the dynamic turn signals, and then the whole yellow strip blinked at once (it didn’t do the “snake” effect). However, earlier this year I was at an authorized Škoda service center because the rear position light occasionally went out, and they probably removed that option from the menu and set it to dynamic blinking only. If anyone knows which OBD (VCDS) channels to adjust so that this option can be controlled from the menu again, I’d really appreciate it.

It would be new to me that you can control the dynamic blinking via the mib

both mk3 Superb pre-facelift and facelift don't have dynamic indicators in their front headlights.
sadly not possible at all.

facelift Superb rear taillights can do dynamic rear indicators.

pre-facelift can't.

u can get aftermarket wing mirror dynamic indicators, for both facelift and pre-facelift.

I think @Lutz_91 have pre Facelift Car with pre Facelift BCM and Facelift Light and Dynamic indicator

Yes, I had it in the menu and I used it. Where was your car made?

My car is made in the Czech Republic.

All mk3 Superbs r made in Czech Republic.

Unless ur in China, India or Russia - they supply/build their own local only version.

Can you show us?

I know it's possible to switch dynamic to static via BCM adaptation, but would be nice to enable this feature in MIB

Všetky modely Superb mk3 sú vyrobené v Českej republike.

Pokiaľ nie ste v Číne, Indii alebo Rusku - dodávajú/vyrábajú si vlastnú lokálnu verziu.

Ukraine and kazachstan too

I can’t show it now because it disappeared from the MIB after I got my car back from the athorized škoda service, where it had a problem with the left rear LED light.

All I know is that it can be coded via the BCM 09. It would also be new to me that this function for the blinker is supposed to be available in the MIB. And I've compared all the codes with the facelift and pre-facelift versions.

What should I code? The dynamic flashing of the rear indicators, or whether this function is available in the MIB?

available in the MIB

No, I don't know how it's supposed to work in the MIB. I haven't seen it work on any FL model either

Does it need enabling in VCDS? I have a facelift Sportline and mine just flash

Don’t think there’s the feature to - either they do or they don’t. Just check you’re not using hazard flashers to check as I think they just flash normally then.

Otherwise there is usually something that is carried over at facelift point depending on what was ready to be updated and what was still on the shelves (a guy at Road Rage Performance was telling me there are some really early 8Y S3s with the EA888.3 engine when they should have the EA888.4).

Was yours an early facelift?

Late 2022, I've checked with normal indicators

It's needs to b the "high" version tail light - both inner & outter lights, which has a different wiring harness for the dynamic sweeping of the indicator.

Then yes, u need to code/enable it.

How can I turn mine off of dynamic and onto static? I think the scrolling indicator looks awful IMO.

Try 09 BCM - Adaptations and deactivate:

[VO]_Aussenlicht_Blinker:

[LO]_Richtungs_blinken_rechts:

[VN]_active

[LO]_Richtungs_blinken_links:

[VN]_active

I’m erring on the same; like it’s a little bit faddy or gimmicky. Still a bit on the fence but I do see where you’re coming from
