Option to enable/disable dynamic LED rear indicators.

Featured Replies

I have turned my dynamic indicators off on a 2023 SIII.

It is Rollenblinken not Richtungsblinken you have to inactivate.

That makes sense. Looks like one option for both sides rather than one each side? (Guess so otherwise the option to have one rolling and one straight would look ridiculous)

Just enabled it on mine using VCDS (Rollenblinken), no idea why it wasn't enabled by default. I can barely notice it though, it seems only the outer lights sweep whilst the lights on the boot lid still flash.

Does anyone know what Richtungsblinken actually does?

I found this RossTech info:

RichtungsBlinken RBS Rain Brake Support (now BSW BremScheibenTrocknung) RCEPS Rack Concentric Electric Power Steering RD RestDruckventil RFT

I'm not sure, it translates as directional indicator. I'll try it tomorrow, what could go wrong 🤣

Just seems to translate as turn signal. Turn them off is BMW-mode…? 🤭

Just checked mine with VCDS, I had Richtungs_blinken_links and Richtungs_blinken_rechts active already. Setting ZV_Blinken_auf and ZV_Blinken_zu enables sweeping indicators when unlocking and locking. It only does it on my rear lights though.

Dynamic front indicators only work on pre face lift SIII with a 55 controller.

This function requires the correct hardware and wiring. It is active on the Superb 3 from the facelift onwards and with the correct equipment. It refers to the turn signal moving from the inside To the Outside

Mine is a facelift 2022 Sportline, I would have thought it would work with my front indicators

Do you have the permanent eyelashes?

If not it is the 4B multi function module with D6 and D7 light controllers. Not much to code in them.

A quick jump to the Octavia 3. My facelift has 4B with D6/7 and permanent eyelashes.

Is it about the function where the daytime running lights and the turn signals flash dynamically and alternately?

These eyelashes I meant.

Ah, just checked and it does have them at night. Maybe not permanently on though

Front headlight indicators will never sweep (dynamic).

Doesn't matter pre-facelift or facelift Superb.

It just doesn't have the hardware for it.

On the other hand, rear indicators on the taillights of the facelift Superb can do it.

That's incorrect.

See my post above.

Oh, when I had the car "new" and wanted to do some coding to the headlights I am sure I was told I could not because of the different controllers - 55 to 4B - and some options had disappeared from 9 too.

I wanted to code whiskers / eye lashes and other bits.

Pre-facelift MY15 and MY16 uses module 55 for headlights.

Pre-facelift MY17 to MY19 uses module 4B for headlights.

Both can do eye-lashes/whiskers provided u have Version B Bi-Xenon headlights, combined with coding and matching SLA parameter file.

They both use different SLA parameter files.

Mine is MY17 with the 4B module. I retrofitted SLA to my Superb about 7 yrs ago, switching from Version A to Version B headlights.

I have a 3V MJ17 and still have the 55 control unit in it, so the eyelashes work too
