Has anyone had problems with the push button ignition switch?

Occasionally mine does nothing when pressed, both starting and stopping.

I'm going to replace the switch, but wanted to know if anyone else has done this and a source for the switch.

Yes, It sometimes requires a bit of patience when starting maybe two or three goes. But always seems to get there eventually

I have an issue like this with a similar system on a non-VW group. When this happens releasing the clutch pedal and pressing again allows normal starting. It seems that there may be a switch on the pedal system giving trouble. I suppose there is possibly something similar on the brake system of an automatic.
