Help please it's really bugging me.

Featured Replies

So I changed my battery and coded it in. Since doing so though the leaving home lights won't operate. The switch is on Auto and the coming home lights work as should. Have checked in the settings and the timer is set for 20 seconds the same as the coming home ones. It in a dark area. I've cleaned the sensor on the window.

Why isn't it working anymore? It's bugging me that I can't figure it out. Anyone else had this after a battery change?

Thanks.

Out of interest, which scan tool did you use to "code in" your new battery?

It might be relevant.

I used the topdon carpal with their BMS reset feature where you input in all the new details of the battery.

ooooohhhhh.....eyks - honestly - I wouldn't trust anything other than VCDS or ODBEleven to read a VAG vehicle.

Did you set the times to nil then get out and lock leave it a while then get in and set it back?

Other than that now you have told the bms the new battery details, you could disconnect the battery and let it shutdown then reconnect.

No I just changed them to a different time. I will try your suggestions though.

Thank you

This might help it might not, it would seem like the winter cold weather demons are doing their work again, I got in my car to go home after work one day last week and I noticed that the clock was at 00:00 so I checked the settings and it was still on the auto time zone so I changed it to manual, went back to the home screen, no change.

So as with most things these days, turn it off and back on again, however there is a reset you can do, with the unit on, simply press and hold the on/off button and it will eventually reset and come back on.

Give it a try, it's worth a punt. . . .
