I do not chase the most recent software and stay on 1941 still. So far did not regret once, reading this forum I see people have many issues on newer versions which I don't. So if everything works, I'd say stay on 1969.

You are right. I will stay on that for sure.

BTW, the cost for the new unit (not the screen) is 1.600 euros !!!!

Screen is about the same, 1300 plus tax.

Been in the dealership today for a service and to check out this fault.

They did a “software configuration” as per Skoda request, photo shows what levels the software is at.

This seemed to update and reset infotainment. Had to run through the set up wizard for date, time, home address but didn’t have to log in to my Skoda account.

Tested it at the garage and it was working BUT this was before it connected to Apple CarPlay. Connected to car play and drove home (like an idiot didn’t test it until I got back) and same issue. Once infotainment is connected to CarPlay I can’t press the HOME button on the infotainment screen as it freezes then blanks out clima controls. If you long press power for a reset it still boots but then you have no audio.

Only resolution is to switch the car off/on again.

Booked back in but they can’t see me until late July!

Oh and to top it off post service, it was its 30k 3rd service, they’ve left me with an oil change service in 100 miles message which wasn’t displayed before I took it in as I’ve only done about 4000 miles since last service.
