Scout Bumpers & Arch Trims Wanted...

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get a complete front and complete rear bumper plus the matching wheel arch trims? I think the ones on my 2021 Superb Scout Estate were removed before Skoda sold the car to its first owner here in the UK. Photograph of a car lifted off a car for sale in Australia (which was the main market obviously) is identical to my car, white with the full length roof, rear door blinds, seats, three zone climatesuspension higher than the standard Sportline, 280bhp etc etc.

Hi,

Lucky you, very rare model!

I think ifinterface.com could help you finding the P/N, you're looking for. 😉

However, if you have the normal Estate front and rear fenders, I don't know if the plastic wheel arches trims will be easy to install on your car. I think (still need to be verified) the original wheel arches are bolted or at least clipped on the fenders.

ifinterface should help you finding how the original Scout configuration is and what you really need anyway.

Thanks but that link doesn't produce anything for me.

Thanks very much for that, I guess I should have expected to see ridiculous prices that make it a non starter for me. I think it'd be over £4k to put that lot back on the car. It can stay as is for now.

I'll keep an eye out in the future, as the car gets older there may be price reductions to clear old stock... Probably not....

Try again, click on the link, then Welcome > Free Services > CarProg2.

Finally, use drop down menus on the top : Language / Brand / Car Model (SUP for Superb) > Model Year

Body parts are in Part #8. Then look for your parts. ;)

I doubt, you don't find anything...

This is what I see when clicking on that link. Looks well dodgy to me!

Just click on "Welcome" and follow my instructions above. 😉

The Scout "trim" are appliques that go over the original parts, I've made this investigation time ago thinking to make a "L&K Scout" hybrid. At most, you could have a couple of holes to drill to fix with clips, but most of the stuff is glue-on, or better say, double-sided tape.

I also spent several minutes lurking around a Scout that is always parked around daughter's school.

Ultimately, I decided "new" is not worth the price, and the hassle, untless when in time, you will start to see cars at the breakers an you can get parts. Plus components are mostly aesthetics, the only advantage is the over fenders to protect from dings from idiots opening doors too wide in parking lots.

Ultimately, the only things really worth are the suspension - I really would benefit from a higher clearance, i often scrape around and I cringe at the sound - and the beautiful "wood" trim inside instead of the ghastly "black piano" plastickly crap ...

I think the front under bumper and rear diffuser are the main panels, certainly the most expensive. My car has the higher ground clearance with Scout DCC shocks (I wonder how easy it will be to source replacements come the day) but yes, everything else appears to be stick on. None will ever appear in UK breakers yards as it's a car never officially imported to the UK. Mine has snuck through somehow albeit without the exterior trim, everything else is Superb Mk3 Scout. Thanks for the thoughts!

No, if is non-UK import you will have a difficult time, and might need to go part by part. I have played this game, I've had a couple customers/friends who wanted to make their S6s US-style, which means different bumpers, turn signals, rear lamps, and so on ...

Expensive game.

But you can find things ....

I discarded the outer look, I would only want the wood trim but probably will end up making it with film, it like 1k euro because of the ambient lights included in the trim ....

I think the DCC shocks are either available with their own part no., or is the same shock as the standard car with a "spacer" to raise the height, like the Cross-Polo. Having the same wheels as the non-Scout model, I think they did not modify any suspension/mechanical drivetrain components.

Thank you Leolito! That post gives me hope that I can find the parts at reasonable prices now. I hadn't thought of looking on eBay in Europe for them, I guess I need to find a few new words in French, German and Swedish etc and find a seller willing to post them.

WAIT - ROADTRIP!

Also, check out the Polish site allegro.pl which is their equivalent of ebay. I have thought of doing the same, change to Scout aesthetics, but questioned where these parts have come from.

Better look in Germany, as french owner living in France, I think I've never seen any Scout model in France...

Otherwise, here are the words:

Front bumper: Pare-chocs avant

Rear bumper: Pare-chocs arrière

Wheel arches: Arches de roues

Plastic trims: Habillages plastiques

If you need other translations, just ask. 😉

Thank you Bap33! I appreciate those translations, luckily my wife is fluent in German (because she is..) and we also have some Polish friends who occasionally travel to the UK with a trailer pulling an AC 289 aluminum body... That may be a possibility!

Plus my best friend's wife is French and they travel to Paris regularly so that may be another possibility....
