Skoda main dealer. did quote £170 so quiet pleased, and the car is 18months old!!

Yep, Parks Skoda in Hamilton :thumbdwn: . Have to say not impressed and won't be going back. Just noticed too that my rear bumper has a scrape through to the primer which it didn't have prior to the service :mad: -- can't be sure it was them though. Never rains but it pours.

Just had a 20k service done on my Fabia VRS, I supplied my own pd oil and I've got a washable air filter fitted, courtesy car supplied.

Total cost £122.

I see some people are being charged up to £60 for oil, I bought 4.5L of Comma fully synthetic PD oil at my local factors for £24 now imagine what the dealers pay for buying bulk, a massive mark up.

I just had an annual service for my now somewhat geriatric Octavia. £49 at local independent. Don't know what oil they use but since the car uses none at all, I don't really care. Whatever it is the car goes well enough.

10k service £112 inc VAT at Capitol Newport, booked in for end of month, damn i am clocking up miles as only had the car since the summer.

They quoted 20k service would be £155

White dove quoted £160 so no surprise for the change to capitol, also getting a courtesy car which i can keep overnight too as wont finish work before they close. Nice and handy too as on the way from cardiff to bristol for my daily commute, just hope they are as nice as they were on the phone.

Just interested in what everyone else is paying for services...?

Whilst I agree that different dealers do have varying service prices, I think much of the difference is down to them quoting for different work!

I've spent some time shopping around for prices for a 20k service, and I'm yet to get 2 prices that are the same (or near to being the same)! However when pushed it turns out that the service work that they'd carry out also varies! Some will include the yearly inspection (higher priced service) and some won't (cheaper service).

Therefore it's VERY important to check that the service quote received, is actually for the correct work! Asking for a 20,000 mile service doesn't really mean anything, a decent dealer should also ask you when the last service was carried out and whether or not it included the inspection.

I just got charged 150 for an oil change on my Fabia vrs at 11,000 ish miles. And it was just under 200 for my 10k service. Alas, I I haven't found anywhere new to take it because I need a courtesy car and the dealer is the only place that can do it locally in a way that fits in with my shift work :(
